The cold wind hit my face as i watched patterns form on the ice of the window. I stepped out of my car and began walking into what i call my own personal hell on earth - my senior year of high school.
It was the first day back so everyone was milling around the halls trying to find their new lockers or, for some poor freshmen, trying to find the main office. I entered the office quickly, got my new locker number and schedule then left.
I quickly found my locker and put my things away. i turned around to try and look for my best friend Violet, but got distracted by my crush, Skyler. He was standing across the hall from me, hanging out with his friends and conjuring wet spots so people would slip and fall when they walked past. Asshole move. I know. I liked him anyway. IfIi had his power that is exactly what I would be doing.
Oh - I forgot to mention that my particular high school was filled with ordinary teenagers with extraordinary talents. Everyone at my school had powers. Some had the power to conjure things, like Skyler. Others had levitation or the power to read minds, like me. i have both of those. My best friend Violet has harmony ,which means whenever she sings everyone listens, and control which is a fancy way of saying that whenever she flirts, she always gets the guy.
