II : The Forest

      Max smiled, then stared at the sky. "Hey Nikki, do you... uh... 'ship' anyone here? Besides Gwen and David..." "Hmm... no, not really." Nikki looked up as well, gazing at the fluffy clouds above. He laughed a bit, "I bet Neil will hook up with Tabii with one eye." He started to laugh. "Or Tabii will get there first," Nikki pointed out with a giggle. "She's missing an eye because of him!" He laughed even more. "I totally forgot about that! Ahh.. priceless.." He smiled, then wiped his eyes.
She quietly laughed, calming down after a few seconds. She smiled, looking over at him. "Is there anything that you'd like to do?..." "Hmm... Not that I can think of..." He tried to think of something quickly. "Do you have anything?" She nodded eagerly. "Well, there was this new area I found while I was walking around the forest that I've been interested in for days!" She suggested excitedly.
"Why don't we go there? It sounds fun!" He smiled and got up, then helped her up. "Lead the way!" She punched his arm playfully, "Copycat," she lead the way to the place. He chuckled and held her hand, walking with her.

Once they made it, Nikki smiled from ear-to-ear. "Here we are!" She chirped. The forest was filled with many creatures walking around; deer, birds, and small woodland squirrels and chipmunks. Max looked around, then smiled too. "It's beautiful! This place is awesome!" He saw all the animals, all the greenery, and all the flowers and fruits.
"I know, right?" Nikki squeaked. "I found this two days ago and I wondered why no one came here," "Maybe 'cause it's so secluded." He saw a nice, shaded spot to relax. "How about we relax over there?" "Okay!" She smiled, grabbing his hand. She sat down in the shade by him.
He smiled too and laid back. "Ahhh.. perfect.." He closed his eyes and enjoyed the nice breeze and the birds chirping.
Nikki chuckled quietly to herself. She grabbed some flowers she found laying on the grass and put them in his hair. He opened one eye and stared at her. "What are you doing?" He smiled, pretending not to notice the flowers. "Putting flowers in your hairrr," she said, her tongue stuck out in a playful manner as she continued to grab more flowers.
"And I thought you were the tomboy type," He laughed a little and smiled. "Alright, make me look as pretty as you." "I'm going to make you look even prettier," she mumbled as she concentrated. "That's impossible." He smiled and closed his eyes again, relaxing. "Pshhh yeah, right!" She lightly shoved him. "Just watch me!" She said, accepting the challenge.
"Alright, take your time!" He moved so his head was in her lap and he can look up at her. Nikki had her tongue stuck out as she concentrated, lightly picking up each flower and stuffing it into his poofy hair. He yawned and smiled, as he slowly started to fall asleep.

"Aaannd... done!" She grinned, patting one last flower onto his hair. He opened both his eyes. "Great! Do you have a mirror?" He smiled, rather excited to see how he looked. "No. Go look in the pool!" She said chippery.
Max smiled and got up, walking over to the pond to look at his reflection. "...Wow..." She stands next to him, her smile never faded. "Soooo... what do you think?" He laughed. "I look like a girl!" His smiled grew as he poked his hair.
"Yeah, a girl more prettier than me," she said, taking out one of the flowers from his hair and examining it. He took the flower from her hand and set it behind her ear so it stayed put. "No way, you're prettier than anyone I've known..." She blushed, smiling shyly while looking down. "Stop..." He holds her chin and gently lifts it up. "It's true..."
She kissed his nose. "Whatever, dork..." He smiled. "Hehe, you're the dork." He poked her. "Hmm... yeah, I guess." She shrugged.
He rolled his eyes, then sits in front of the pond. "So what should we do now?" She sits down next to him. "I dunno... I already chose the first time! Now it's your turn!" She stuck out her tongue. He nodded. "Hmm.. How about we go for a swim?" He pointed sat the pond with a smile. Nikki nodded, "Okay!"
He stood up. "Oh wait... we don't have our bathing suits..." He looked down, a little sad. "Who cares?" Nikki said. "I'm going in anyway!" He smiled, then took of his jacket. "Well then let's go!" He smiled, then jumped in. She took off her shoes, excitement flooding through her veins. She hopped in with him, her smile large.
      He swam to the top. "Dammit! I forgot to take my shoes off!" Nikki giggled a bit loudly. "It doesn't even matter," "It matters to me!" He took them off then tossed them next to Nikki's. "There."
      Nikki rolled her eyes. She pulled him back into the water with a sly smile. He was caught off guard and fell over, splashing water everywhere. He swam to the top and laughed. She hugged him from behind, her smile never left her face. "I got you!"
      He smiled too, still laughing. "Oh no! Someone help!" He squirmed in her hug. She made an evil laugh. "You're stuck in my trap!" "Call for help! She's gonna kill me!" He couldn't stop laughing. "Yeah, I'm going to kill you! With my poisonous kisses!" She kissed his cheek. He slightly blushed. "Oh noo! I'm dying! What a cruel world..." He went limp in her arms, his tongue sticking out as he played dead.
      Nikki giggled. "You're silly," "No, you are," he turned his body around, facing her. Max's eyes were half-shut, a smirk appeared on his face. "What's that look for?" She said, slightly flustered. "Nothing," She squinted at him suspiciously, "What are you planning, Max?"
"Shh." He tilted his head, kissing her fully. "Mph!" Nikki jumped, her face bright red. She kissed him back, pulling back after a few seconds. She let out a small giggle. "We should head back to the camp... they're probably wondering where we are..."
She separated from him, crawling out of the pond with Max close behind. Nikki picked up her shoes, with Max doing the same. They started to walk to the direction of the camp until Max pulled her backwards, pinning her onto a tree. Her face burned, "M-Max!" She managed a squeak. He only smiled.
"How about a few more hours away from everyone? I doubt anyone would notice by Neil." He spoke rather seductively. "Max..." Max leaned over to hush her with another kiss, pressing his body towards hers while he continued to pin her on the tree's trunk.
She pulled back, "Max, please..." she shook away her tomato-red face, "Can we just go back?" Max surprisingly took a second to think, "Yeah, sorry... I was being a dumbass there for a second... let's go." He unpinned her, picking up his shoes again.

They finally got dry as they walked into camp, their shoes back on and everything. Neil rushed up to them. "Where the hell were you two? I've been worried sick!"
