"Stop staring at her or else she'll think you're some kind of creep", my friend scolds me. I just smile as I look back at him.

"Just go there and confess to her already. I'm pretty sure she would accept your feelings." He nudged my arms. The idea of us being together truly intrigued me but there was still this tiny chance that she would reject me.

"Someday..." I sighed and took a bite of my tuna sandwich.

Rose, she's the most beautiful girl that I've ever laid my eyes on. She truly defines the word beautiful, you may think it's because I like her that's why I'm saying this but once you see her you'll get the idea of what I'm talking about. Not only is she pretty but she is equally smart, not just studious but witty as well. She is also a kind-hearted person; I 'may' have stalked her to the old-age home she goes every Saturday morning. How can anyone be so effortlessly perfect.

"Look, man. You need to stop being such a wuss and just go and tell her how you feel, okay? Worse comes to worse she'll reject you and laugh at you. But also look at the bright side if she actually says yes, which she will, then imagine all the cute kids you guys will have." He joked. Suddenly I got this urge to tell her but a small part of me is still scared.

"Whatever, Chen!" I stood up and walked towards class. As I was exiting the cafeteria, I glanced back at her and saw her laughing with her group of friends. I couldn't help but admire her and that's when I decided that I'll confess my feelings to her today.

I ran to the rooftop garden and looked if someone was watching me but like always there was no-one. I bent down and plucked a red rose, it was symbolic as Rose is also her name. I hid it in my pocket and headed to class.

*After class*

The bell signaled that the class was over. I saw Rose packing her things ready to leave when I called her, "Rose, um... can I talk to you? I have something important to confess."

"Sure, Joey." She flashed her heart-warming smile. I led her towards the garden and stood there awkwardly looking at the ground.

"So what is it that you wanted to confess?" She asked breaking the awkward silence. I reached inside my pocket and took the rose out.

"The thing is, umm..., you might find this out of the blue and totally weird, but I promise you all of my words are sincere. I genuinely like you. Everything about you is so perfect and I feel like I want to know you more and cherish you. I want to be more than just the guy in your class, someone more than a friend to you. A guy that will be there not just physically but emotionally, someone that will treasure you like the most precious thing in the world. So would you like to be my girlfriend?" There I finally confessed to her. Her face is really hard to read, I can't tell whether she'll reject me or not. I hope she doesn't though!

She finally smiled and took the rose from my hand. "Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend." I couldn't contain myself after I heard what she said. I ran towards her and hugged her real tight, the sweet smell of her shampoo filled my nostrils reminding me of how gorgeous she is. I can't believe she actually agreed to it. I realized that she didn't hug me back and her hands were there besides her holding the rose. I guess she's just shocked from my sudden outburst of skinship that she couldn't react.

I released her from the hug and saw a sad expression on her face and she seemed to be in a deep thought.

"Are you okay?" I asked her. "Yes, I am perfectly fine." She smiled at me. "Let's head home."
