Upon walking up the next morning I put on some casual clothes consisting of a loose white shirt, blue ripped skinny jeans, and a pair of orange converse.
I then packed a bag of dance clothes, did simple makeup, brushed out my hair, brushed my teeth, then grabbed my things and headed to dance school.
When I got there I headed inside and up to the room I was instructed to.
Once I get there I walk in only find it empty.
Was this the right room?
"You're here." I hear and turn to see Hoseok enter the room.
"Uh yeah..Where are the rest of the people?" I ask and that seems to make him chuckle.
"The rest of the people? Do you not know how this works?" He asks and I make a face as if to say 'obviously not'
"These are private lessons, Y/n." He says and I feel a bit taken back.
"Private lessons? You mean with only the teacher and I?" I ask, cluelessly.
"That's correct." he says.
"Then where is my teacher?" I ask and he turns to me and smiles.
"You're looking at him."
"Wait, you're the teacher?" I ask.
"Sure am. I made sure I was." he says and I shake my head in disbelief.
"Why would you do that?"
"I wanted to work with you. Why do you think I even invited you to the auditions in the first place. I'm interested in you." he says but then quickly adds. "Your dancing I mean."
"Are you even qualified to be a dance teacher?" I ask.
"Of course I am. I've been dancing since as long as I can remember." He says, sounding almost offended.
"So then why me? There must be plenty of others dying to be taught by you." I say and he laughs.
"Of course, but as of today, I'm yours and only yours." he says and his words throw me off a bit.
"Now before we start dancing I want to get to know you a bit." he says as he sits down on the floor then pats the spot in front of him.
I pull in my lips and sit down so I'm facing him.
"Okay so firstly, I know you claim you don't enjoy dancing but how did you get into it?" He asks.
"It's a touchy subject." I say and his face softens a bit.
"It's alright to tell me, Y/n. This is a safe environment and you're supposed to feel comfortable here. You can trust me." he smiles and it's a genuine one.
I wanted to make a smart remark on how that sounded creepy but I thought it was best if I didn't.
"I started dancing when I was really young. My parents were dancers and we always use to dance together. I always dreamt of becoming a dancer but when I was twelve my parents got killed in a car accident and after that I just couldn't bring myself do it. To this day, every time I dance I think of my parents. I dance for them and it's hard." I say and he frowns.
"Now it all makes sense. You love to dance but it holds a hurtful memory that you can't forget so you don't like to do it." he says what I already know.
He was right.
"That's why I gave up on my dream to become a dancer. Even though it's something I love it's just too emotionally painful." I say.
"You say you dance for your parents and that's why it's hard for you and that's your problem so I have a solution. Don't dance for your parents anymore. Dance for yourself. I promise you it'll be easier." He says and his words strike my heart.
"I'm not sure I can do that." I say.
"Why is that?" He asks.
"I just can't find my heart in dancing anymore." I sigh.
"Then do it for me." he says bluntly and I look up at him, eyebrows raised.
"For you?" I ask.
"Yes, for me. I really do believe that you have what it takes to make it big. You're really talented Y/n, whether you choose to believe it or not." he says and I feel myself becoming soft hearted.
"Thank you, that really means a lot." I say and he smiles and nods.
"Of course. So what do you say? Will you really try with this? Will you give this your all and do what makes you happy even if it may hurt a little?" He asks and I let out a breath then nod.
"I will try my best." I say.
"Great! I'm really glad to hear that! I know you can do this. I believe in you!" He says as he leans forward and hugs me which takes me by surprise.
"I feel like we're becoming closer already." he says with a big smile.
I don't say anything as I wait for him to finish hugging me.
When he finally pulls back he stands up and offers a hand out to me.
After a moment of hesitation I grab ahold of it and let him pull me up.
"Now, let's dance."
