Brock Bagans | Ghost Adventures

Chapter 22:

November managed to fly by for some reason, although there didn't to be anything particularly special about November apart from Thanksgiving. However; Zak, Brianna and Brock were all very busy visiting friends and staying with their family for a week or so. 

December had rolled in quicker than usual. It was now December 1st and Brianna was already up early on the Friday morning, looking for advent calendars for her and Zak as well as one for Brock. She couldn't decide whether to get Brock a toy advent calendar or a wooden one, where they could fill the boxes with a different treat every day. Although, this treat couldn't be chocolate since Brock was still banned from having any sorts of candy for another month. 

Bri decided to check Target, since that was always her go-to place for anything. After spending a while trying to decide between an M&Ms and a Hershey's advent calendar, she finally concluded that she'd prefer the Hershey's advent calendar - as would Zak. However, her shopping trip wasn't done here. She also had to find Brock an advent calendar on top of this. 

Upon realising how expensive the wooden advent calendars were, she decided to get Brock a toy advent calendar instead. Also, she had to admit, after Brock's little mishap the day after Halloween, he had been a good boy for his mommy and his daddy. 

Bri scanned the toy advent calendar isle, trying to find the perfect one to purchase for Brock. They had Disney Tsum Tsum ones, as well as Crayola, Frozen, LEGO Friends and Despicable Me. However, none of these seemed to be something that Brock would like. She searched a little more until she came across a Paw Patrol advent calendar. "This is perfect." She spoke quietly to herself, not wanting to look strange for talking to herself as the isle was full of families with their young children. 

Before going to pay for these items, Bri decided to look around for a few Christmassy things. In the end, she ended up buying a 'Santa stop here in ... days' chalkboard sign as well as a snow-globe, a 'happy holidays' candle and a small train set for Brock to play with.

"I'm home!" Brianna called, as she unlocked the door to their house. "Mommy!" Brock cheered, as he ran down the stairs as fast as he count to greet her, before giving her a hug. "Hello Brocky, did you sleep well, baby?" Bri asked her son, as she ruffled his hair a little. "Y-eah!" He exclaimed loudly, before running into the living room where Zak was. Bri decided to follow.

"Hey, did you get what you needed?" Zak asked Bri, as soon as she had walked into the room. "Yep, I got us our Hershey's advent calendars while-" She began, before being immediately cut off by Brock. "Her-shey?" Brock questioned, in awe. He had missed the familiar taste of chocolate and would do anything for a bit of it right now. "No Brock, you're still on candy ban, remember?" Zak told his son who almost instantly began to whine. "Not only that but I thought you'd prefer something else, which is why I got you a-" Bri began, as she took the toy advent calendar out of the bag to show him. "P-AW PAT-ROL!" Brock exclaimed happily, before jumping up and down with excitement. "And that way, you can add them to your collection." She finished. 

"O-pen n-ow?" Brock asked his mommy, before looking at his daddy. "Yes, as it is December, you can open yours now." Bri confirmed. "But only one door a day, Brock. You can't open all 24 in one go." Zak interrupted, just so that Brock wouldn't get any ideas. 

Once Zak opened up the advent calendar for Brock, the calendar depicted little baubles that were hung onto colourful tree lights. "Right, as it's December 1st, we need to look for door number 1, can you see it anywhere?" Zak asked the little boy, who was now sat on his lap whilst inspecting the toy. "Mmmm..." Brock began, "d-ere?" He questioned, as he pointed to the number 5. "Would you like me to help you, bud?" Zak wondered. Brock nodded his head a little. This proved to be slightly difficult.
