It had been a few weeks after his birthday and Brock was already showing more signs of growing up. For the past few days, Brock had been becoming quite difficult about keeping his diaper on. Brianna had noticed this when trying to get him ready and dressed for the day. It would cause quite a lot of frustration since Brock wasn't potty trained and both Brianna and Zak would have to make something up in order for Brock to keep his diaper on.

It was early on a Sunday morning and Brianna was making breakfast for the three of them since Brock and Zak were still upstairs asleep. It wasn't long for Brock to come running down the stairs looking for breakfast- with no clothes on.

"Mommy, I have some pwease?" Brock asked as he stood next to Brianna who was making eggs and bacon. "Yes when I've finished making it- Brock? Where's your diaper?" Brianna asked her son as she paused her cooking to face the cheeky boy who was giggling. "No diaper, mommy." He told her, as he began to turn around and run away.

Brock ran right into his daddy who soon scooped him up in his arms. "Where's your clothes, little boy?" Zak asked his son who was trying his best to get out of his daddy's arms. "No diaper, daddy." Brock repeated, as he wanted to get down. "Brock, you won't be going anywhere until we put a diaper on you. We don't want any accidents." Zak told him as he proceeded to walk up the stairs with his son in his arms. As he did so, Brock whined as he tried to get down by himself but no matter how hard he tried, Zak wouldn't let him.

Once Zak managed to get Brock's diaper on him, he put his son in a pair of Spiderman pyjama bottoms and his Spiderman pyjama top. It was getting increasingly colder as it was nearing the end of October. "Okay, let's go get some breakfast, shall we?" Zak asked Brock who nodded his head vigorously.

Zak carried Brock down to the table where Brianna was serving the breakfast. He sat Brock in the middle of both him and Brianna. During breakfast, Brianna decided to raise an important conversation. "Brock, both daddy and I noticed that you don't like wearing your diaper anymore-" Brianna began, as she managed to catch the attention of her little boy. "Yeah, mommy." Brock said, before scooping some eggs into his mouth. "So, we've decided that you're probably ready to be potty trained and you are three now so you're no longer a baby but a toddler." She told him, getting a little tearful at the fact that he wasn't a 'baby' anymore.

Zak saw this and got up from his seat to make sure that she was alright. "Brock? Do you like the idea of being potty trained?" Zak asked his son who proceeded to nod. "It's going to be a long process but hopefully after a few weeks or so, you should be potty trained." Zak continued. "Yes, daddy's right. It's not going to be easy but we'll make it work." Brianna continued, as she smiled slightly at Brock. "o-kay mommy." Brock agreed, as he finished the rest of his breakfast. "So, as soon as we're all done with breakfast, we're going to make a quick stop at Target and get you some underpants as well as pull ups as you may have a few accidents during this process of potty training but that's okay, you're learning." Brianna explained to him. Brock nodded slightly at this before hopping down from his chair and making his way over to the kitchen sink where he tried to reach up to it.

"What are you trying to do, Brock?" Zak asked him. "Stick-y." Brock complained, as he looked down to his hands and back up towards the sink. "Oh, do you want to wash your hands?" Zak asked him. Brock nodded vigorously before being lifted up by his daddy who helped him wash his hands.

Once everyone was done with breakfast and they had tidied up, Zak, Brianna and Brock all headed to Target. It wasn't long before they arrived at Target and made their way over to the boy's section of clothing. Brock was running slightly ahead of his parents. "Brock, this way!" Zak called to him as Brock slowly stopped and turned around before running the other way to where his mommy and daddy were.

"Look at these, Brock!" Brianna said, as she pointed to a few pairs of colourful underpants for her son. "What do you think of them?" She asked him. "Yea-" Brock began, as he nodded his head and then decided that he was going to look at a few other pairs. In the end, Brock chose some disney underpants with various characters' faces on them as well as some superman, batman, and spiderman underpants. Brianna got him some colourful ones as well just so that they wouldn't be short of underpants. They also picked up some pull ups just in case of accidents.

While they were paying, Zak decided that he was going to carry Brock just so he wouldn't wander off and get lost. "Daddy, look!" Brock said, as he pointed to a ginormous teddy bear. "Yes Brock, it's a big teddy isn't it?" He asked him. Brock nodded, "daddy, I want-" he continued, as he wanted to get down. "No Brock, you've got to stay here because we're leaving Target in a minute. Maybe you can get it for Christmas if mommy lets you." Zak told him. Upon hearing this, Brock wasn't too happy but sadly nodded.

As soon as they were home, Brianna and Zak decided to start the potty training process. "Okay Brock, the bathroom doors are going to be left open so that you can run in and go potty when you need to go. Also, for now we're going to leave your pull up on you until you go potty and once you've been, we'll help you into your underpants." Zak told Brock, who was trying his best to pay attention. "To add to that, if you need help on the potty or want mommy or daddy to help, just ask, okay?" Brianna said, as she sat next to her small son on the sofa. "O-kay, mommy." Brock agreed.

Throughout the day, both Zak and Brianna gave Brock a lot of water to drink to help him go to the bathroom. It wasn't long before Brock came to find his mommy. "Mommy?" Brock began, as he tapped his mommy on her leg. Brianna looked up from what she was doing and picked Brock up. "What is it, Brock?" She asked him as he began to fidget slightly. "I need potty." He whined slightly as he continued to shuffle around. "Alright, come on then." She spoke, as she carried him to the downstairs bathroom and assisted him to the potty.

Once he was all done, Brianna helped him wash his hands and explained to him the importance of washing his hands after using the potty. "Also, when we're out in public or at someone else's house and you need to go potty, please tell mommy or daddy as soon as you can so we can help you go, alright?" Brianna told Brock. "-kay, mommy." Brock answered.

As Zak had promised, once Brock had used the potty, he was allowed to wear a pair of underpants. "Which ones would you like to wear?" Zak asked him, as he laid the packets of underpants out in front of his son. "mmmm....dat one!" Brock exclaimed, as he pointed to the pair of superman underpants. Zak helped his son into them, who seemed very excited to be wearing them. "Now remember, Brock, don't go potty in your underpants." Zak reminded him. "-kay, daddy." Brock said, as he decided that he was going to climb onto his daddy's back. "What are you doing?" Zak chuckled slightly as he saw Brock wrap his small arms around his daddy's neck. "Hors-ie!" Brock spoke, "move pwease!"

Zak laughed upon hearing this and did so, making various noises that a horse would make in order to entertain his son. Every time he made a noise, Brock would giggle profusely.
