Another day, the same hyper little boy.
No matter the sugar intake, Brock always managed to be bouncing off of the walls.
Brock swung off of the sofa; blasting his spiderweb from his fingers as he pretended to be Spider-Man. "P-shh!"
"Easy Brock, you're gonna hurt yourself-" Zak warned. He had been keeping an eye on the boy since he began.
Brock blasted another web, this time towards the wall. He swung his arms from side to side, creating the movement of climbing the city buildings.
Whilst doing this, Brock brushed passed a large ornate vase, making it teeter back and forth.
"Careful!" Zak cautioned, catching the falling vase.
It was clear that Brock wasn't going to slow down. He was exploding with energy, running in and out of various rooms.
"And he hasn't even had sugar..." Zak muttered, sighing as he did so.
Just as Zak was about to follow his small son out of the room, Brock ran back towards him, ready for round two.
"Brock, that's enough now. You're going to break something-"
The little boy turned around and shook his head from side to side. "Nu-uh!"
"Uh-huh!" Zak retorted before grabbing a hold of Brock.
"How about we play something more...peaceful?" He approached, bending down to the little boy's height.
Brock tilted his head to the right. He wasn't sure whether he'd like this 'peaceful' game.
"Let's play Hide n Go Seek! I'll count and you can hide." Zak continued, "How does that sound?"
Brock lit up. "Y-eah!" He agreed, jumping up and down.
"Alrighty, but you mustn't hide outside. Just indoors, okay?" Zak warned Brock.
"Why?" Brock questioned; he wasn't sure what was so bad with hiding outdoors.
"Because of the pool, you could easily fall in or jump in knowing you. It's safer if I can keep my eye on you inside the house."
Brock frowned. He quite liked the sound of hiding in the pool.
"Okay, I'm gonna count to 10, go hide!" Zak encouraged, gently patting Brock on the back as he covered his eyes.
"1...2...3..." Zak began.
Brock tiptoed out of the living room, scrunching his shirt up in his hands as he tried to think of a place to hide.
"4...5...6..."
The little boy wandered into the kitchen. There was no way he could fit into the trash can, it had smelly food waste and wrappers.
"7...8...9..."
"Ooh!" Brock exclaimed to himself, realising that he was big enough to fit into the pantry. And whilst he was there, he could dig into some candy.
"10! Coming ready or not, here I come!"
Brock stayed as quiet as he could, not wanting to be found immediately.
"Hmm, I wonder where Brock could be-" Zak spoke, although it sounded muffled.
Brock looked around the pantry for candy. Unfortunately, the majority of it was up high.
