It was the last day of the academy and I could hear the crowd cheering for me.
The crowd how my friends performed and now it was my turn. Jasmine and my mother and even my father was there!
I was wearing a sparkling short sleeved skating dress and I had on a lot of makeup, but I felt pretty and professional.
Yes, me and my friends took Ginna's place and I was a now a top skater!
"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome Bria Johnson, the first black girl to ever finish an academy and get in the top skating rage".
The crowds cheers and I see Lucas smiling at me.
"Here I go", I whispered and skated onto the rink.
I skated two laps around the rink and did four white ice moves.
The white ice came so natural to me that it was almost strange.
I did to a pivot and some other moves I made up such as the turn, the pixie, and the white ice shortcut.
I repeated the moves and turned twirled my body as I did.
I skate backwards with one leg in the air and my arms out and I spin doing a wind blower a move i made up. I spin, twirl, and jump.
I sit and spin in a circle doing a pixie and then do a long jump in the air.
I land so gracefully and I smiled as I landed in my same position while everyone clapped and threw flowers.
"GO LITTLE SIS, GO, GO, GO", Jasmine said.
"MY BABY", My mother screamed.
Martha went to up to me and said, "Congrats, you win a full paid scholarship to Harvard!!!".
People threw more flowers as I hold up the scholarship excitedly and as people clap, I felt tears shoot from my eyes.
I couldn't believe this was happening.
Me, Tyler, and Alyson will be going to the same college on a scholarship.
Suddenly, Alyson runs up to me and hugs me, "Oh my gosh, Bria. You accomplished so much, I knew you would win".
"Thanks", I said and embraced her.
Then, Tyler comes up to me and said, "I knew it from the start".
I laughed, "I guess you deserve a kiss then".
He nods and picks me up as we leaned in and kissed right in front of the crowd as they cheered.
My laugh was awesome and I accomplished so much.
I never knew that I could accomplish something and I have learned a lesson.
Go for your dreams no matter what skin colour you are.
I continue to kiss Tyler and I thank God for all of this.
Thank you, God for giving me a friend and a nice boyfriend.
