LAY POV
All the servers were gathered into the break room. D.O was all over the place telling people what they were doing wrong. It didn't help that Kai was following D.O all over the place like a puppy.
D.O finally came and posted a piece of paper on the board.
He fixed his posture and announced, "You guys know the drill. The tables that you are assigned for tonight are on this piece of paper."
All the servers suddenly started to crowd the board. They almost squished D.O. and got scolded for it. I stayed in my seat until everyone started to drift away.
I looked throught the list. I saw passed by some names like Chen, Taeil, Jin, and Youngjae. I stopped once I saw Zhang Yixing. I went left to lost to see the tables I was assigned to. I was in charge of tables 11, 12, and 18.
I followed the other servers out of the room and towards the club. I gasped once I saw that all the booths were taken up and people were already dancing. But, it seemed like I was the only one surprised. The rest of the servers didn't even seem fazed and just began working.
I got out of my trance and started to get to work. I started walking to table 11 which was taken up by a group of 5 people that all looked around my age. I was about to ask for their orders when I was interrupted.
"Are you new?" asked the plum lipped man that had his blond hair slicked to the side.
"Yes I am", I responded.
"What happened to Jin?"
"I'm afraid he was assigned to different tables."
"I see." I could see the disappointment in his eyes.
"I'm sorry but I can still take your order", I said while trying to show my dimples.
This seemed to lighten up the mood, and he nodded. I quickly wrote down their orders and went on my way.
I headed to the bar to get the drinks, but it was really hard to get through all the people. I almost fell three times. The fourth time is when I actually fell, but I was helped up.
"Don't go falling every day like that, new guy." It was one of the servers. I think his name was Chen.
"Sorry! It's just my first day, so I'm a bit one edgem."
"It's no problem. I fell on my first day too. I'm hoping we'll be good friends. The name's Chen, and you?"
I smiled at making a new friend."my name's Lay."
"Here let me tell you a trick. When you are going throught the dance floor just make sure you spread you arms like this", he said while making a swimming motion with his arms.
I decided to give it a try and to my surprise it actually worked. People were starting to give me room to walk. I thanked him and went on my way. I managed to get through and give the notepad with the orders to Baekhyun.
Baekhyun looked at me with a grin and said, "You doing okay out there, Lay?"
"I'm trying to," I said with a grin of my own.
The drinks were ready after some minutes. I brought the table their drinks, and I quickly went to my next table which was number 12. I repeated what I did with the last table with ease.
It was table 18 that I had to watch out for. The table was full of people who wore clothes that barely covered anything. I swear that one of the guys has lingerie beneath the "clothes". All of them seemed to have small frames just like Baekhyun and Xiumin. They seemed to take in interest in me.
"Hey cutie I haven't seen you around", the guy with the lingerie said.
"That's because I'm new", I responded flatly.
I was afraid to show them my dimples. I didn't want to show them to people like this.
"Oooo fresh meat", the same guy said.
I let out an awkward laugh. Then I suddenly felt him grab onto my arm.
"Let's dance, sexy."
"No, I'm okay."
"Come on pleeassseeee."
"No."
"Fine, I'll just make you then."
The guy suddenly started to rub his back on me. Then he started bending down and down. His grabbed my arms forcing me to grab him by the waist.
I suddenly heard some yell,"Security!"
Then a bunch of huge men came and took the man away. I was surprised when the security left revealing Suho.
"S-Suho?"
"Sorry you had to go through that, Lay."
"Oh, it's no big deal."
"Of course it is! Here take a break with me in my office."
"Okay..."
