Twenty Nine

Alex and I both stayed up past midnight waiting for the email telling us we graduated. We were eating tacos and drinking coke as we waited impatiently. "I don't see why you're nervous." I said to Alex making him chuckle.

"You shouldn't be either. You managed to become an almost all A's student." He said nudging me and making me giggle.

"Why is it taking so long!" I yelled throwing my head back on the pillows sighing in frustration.

"The email came in!" He said making me almost fall off the bed and grab my phone opening up the emails. I opened the received email and all I read was congratulations which made me get up and start jumping up and down on the bed in joy.

"I did it!" I yelled loudly dancing on the bed giggling. "What does yours say?" I asked falling on my butt and seeing him nod his head in happiness. I stood back up on the bed and pulled him up with me. "Celebrate with me!" I said as we both jumped up and down cheering.

After a few minutes of cheering and laying back down. I smiled big. "I also got the job near the house that needs a experienced veterinarian." He said making me smile again.

"That's so great!" I said looking up at the ceiling. "I couldn't of done this without you." I said rolling over and hugging him tightly.

"You didn't need me, you only needed someone to push you. You're really smart." He said making me wanna just hug him tighter.

"We should go shopping for our graduation outfits." I said smiling big.

"I'll do anything with you." He said kissing my head and letting me curl up on his side. We both fell asleep with big smiles on our faces.

It was the next morning and I woke up around noon seeing no one next to me in bed. "Alex!" I called out getting out of bed and walking down stairs smelling bacon and waffles making my stomach growl.

"I heard that from here darling. Come sit, we gotta eat up." He said plating our food. I sat down and he handed my plate sitting next to me. I started to eat and moaned at how delicious it was.

"This is so good." I said moaning after each bite.

"Stop with the noises or else we won't be going shopping." He said winking at me.

"When did my goody two shoes boyfriend become a sexual monster." I said laughing as he raised his eyebrow pushing his glasses up.

"Just because I'm a nerd, doesn't mean I don't have a sexual side." He said making me choke on my food. "You bring out the monster in me and I'm glad you do. It's like I'm your boyfriend in public but your monster in private." He said kissing the back of my hand.

"Where did you learn to talk like this. God you're so sexy." I said rubbing my thighs together giggling.

"Don't worry about it." He said blushing. I didn't pry and just smiled at him. "I love you Elena." He said put of nowhere making me look at him with a lopsided smile.

"I love you to!" I said with a mouth full of food and hearing him laugh at my face.

After we finished eating we got dressed in normal attire and he was driving us to the mall that was near town. Less than an hour passed by and we arrived at the mall. I had my money in my small wallet and held it in my right hand as he held my left hand.

We looked around for the shop that sold dresses when Alex pointed at one of the shops that was in between a Kays jewelers and a men's shop. I smiled and walked into the shop with Alex behind me. He was odly quiet the whole time making me shrug my shoulders and look around for the perfect dress. "What color should I choose?" I asked him holding up a maroon and dark purple dress. He pointed to the dark purple and I went into the dressing room.

"I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be back in a second." He said through the door. I nodded my head and changed out of my clothes and into the dark purple dress that was thin and had a black undertone making the purple look like lace. It had a sweetheart neckline in the front and a low v in the back and landed a little high above my knees. It wasn't flashy but it was really pretty and the two colors Alex liked alot on me.

I slipped the dress off and put my clothes back on. When I left the changing room I thought Alex would of been back but I was wrong. I put the dress on the counter and paid for it as the lady put it in a bag, handing it to me. I walked out of the shop looking for Alex when I saw him in the men's store next to me with his own bag.

"Find what you wanted?" He asked grabbing my hand.

"Yeah, I think you'll like it alot." I said giggling as he kissed the back of my hand. "Did you find what you wanted?" I asked pointing to the bag.

"Yeah I sure did." He said as we left the mall pleased with both of our purchases.

"We gotta stop by the college, we need to get our graduation gowns and caps." I said as we got back in the car. He nodded his head and drove towards the college taking a few shortcuts. He looked nervous making me put my hand on his thigh to calm him down.

"Are you okay?" I asked worried why he was being quiet and nervous.

"Yeah just I am nervous to be graduating." He said making my body relax.

"Well alright sweetheart. I'm gonna call my parents and tell them the good news when we get home." I said as we pulled into the college. We got out and went to the main office which was handing out the gowns to all the students. Our school colors was navy blue and white, but the ones with perfect test scores wore gold.

We waited in line and before I knew it we were at the desk. "Elena Evans. Alexander Woods." I said to the man at the desk as he checked the boxes. He pointed behind him and we both got handed gold gowns. I looked at Alex shocked.

As we left the building and made it to the car I was still shocked to see I had a gold gown. "Why are you not shocked?" I asked him with my mouth open staring at the gown in the small bag.

"Because you're really smart and it's about time you realized that." He said giving me his goofy smile making me smile back.

"I love you." I said as we were driving back to the house.
