Chapter 3

Jacob's POV

I had to go see Matt before I took Maddie out. Even though we aren't serious, the guys were right about me talking to Matt first. That's what I would want if I were him anyways. I just don't know how he will react.

I knocked on the door of Matt's hotel room, which he was sharing with Carter, Taylor and Maddie. Matt answered the door and greeted me with a smile. "Hey Jacob what's up? Want to come in for a while?" He said, opening up the door for me to walk in. "No Matt it's fine I actually just wanted to talk to you real quick and in the hallway possibly," I said trailing off as Matt gave me a confused look. "Okay sure," Matt shut the door and stuck his hands in his pockets. "What's up?"

"Uhm actually I just wanted to know if you would be okay with me uh taking Maddie out on a date. I understand if you want me to back off because I know you're protective and me and Maddie don't really know each other, but I was hoping you would approve." I said looking up with a blush on my face.

Matthew had an unclear expression and I didn't know what he was going to say. He looked like he was thinking, when his face broke into a smile. "Yeah dude no problem, I understand. Just treat her good, alright?" He said. "Yeah of course thanks Matt." I replied, happier than ever.

"Haha no problem, if any of the guys got to date her I'd rather it be you, you just seem like you'd treat her better." Matthew was saying to me. I laughed and gave Matt a pat on the back as I began walking back to my hotel room. I couldn't control my grin knowing that Matt approved of me.

Matt's POV

When Jacob came and asked to talk to me in the hall, I had no clue what he was going to say. I thought he was coming to hangout or something for a while so I was confused.

When he asked me how I felt about him taking Maddie on a date, first I thought no way. They just met each other today and he already wants to take her out? No. Not happening. Then I thought about how he actually came to ask me instead of just taking her and having me find out from someone else. I gave him respect for that because he knows I'm protective over her, she's my sister. Well this must've been important to him, so I agreed.

I guess I would prefer him with Maddie than with any of the other guys. He just seems like he would care for her all the time and I think they would even kind of make a cute couple.

I don't even know how Maddie feels about this though, what if she just said yes because she felt bad and now she is stuck going on a date with him because I said I approved? I decided to go talk to her.

I walked into the room and Carter and Taylor were also in the room along with Maddie. "Hey Maddie, want to go downstairs and grab Starbucks or something?" I asked her with a smile. She replied with an even bigger smile saying,"When do I not want Starbucks?" I laughed as she put on her shoes quickly and we walked towards the elevator.

Once we got to the lobby, we made our way towards the Starbucks. There wasn't a line so we ordered right away, got our drinks fast, and sat down at one of the tables.

"So I heard about you and Jacob." I said, looking at Maddie as she looked up with a red face. "What? How? Who told you?" She responded, looking embarrassed. "Jacob came to talk to me about it, he wanted to make sure it was alright with me before he took you out and all that." I replied. She nodded and took a sip of her drink, becoming silent.

"So do you like him?" I asked, hoping to get a conversation going with her, the silence was awkward and uncomfortable. "I don't know, we just met today. He's cute and he seems nice but I don't really know him at all to say." Maddie said, blushing again. It was kind of funny how she blushed when she spoke about him. "You know it's alright to go on a date with him, even though you don't know each other. That's kind of the point of taking someone on a date, to get to know them." I said nudging her with a smile.

She smiled back and replied, "Yeah I guess I don't know I just don't want it to be awkward and stuff." "It will only be awkward if you make it awkward. Jacob is a nice kid though and he means well, so give him a chance." I replied. "Yeah, I know you're right," she said smiling at me. "I know I'm right, when am I ever wrong?" I said laughing. She just shook her head smiling and said that we should probably head back upstairs because she was tired and wanted to get some sleep because it was going to be a long weekend. I agreed and we made our way upstairs.

Maddie's POV

After talking with Matt I feel a lot better about my date with Jacob. Maybe I'm more excited about it too. He seemed like a nice kid and I think I can see myself dating him eventually.

I get upstairs and go into my bathroom and brush my teeth, wash my face and brush my hair, and change into a comfy pair of shorts and one of Matt's old shirts that I sleep in. I flopped into my bed and plugged in my phone, scrolling through Instagram for a while, before moving to twitter where I read my mentions and replied to some people. After a while my eyes were growing heavy on me so I shut the app and closed my eyes, trying to sleep. All I could think about was Jacob, and that made me smile.

Here's an update finally haha. I've been re-writing this I don't even know why, but I'm going to try to write another one tomorrow, even though I probably won't post it right away.

Whatever thanks for reading, it means a lot and I hope you like it so far? I know it's kind of boring right now but it's only the first few chapters so I'm going to see where I can take it,

Vote?:)
Thanks again<3
