Chapter 30:

I can't live without my twin

"Damn it!"

I punched the wall, but I didn't make a dent. I practically shattered the marble, of course the wall still stands but it's just cracked in every direction.

"You know, you're gonna have to pay for that wall." Archer said as he walked up to me.

"Sorry for ruining your living room, I suppose I'll have to pay for that too?" I spat and Archer stopped dead in his tracks. He took the time to look at the wreck I created and he turned to face me. He handed out his hand and sighed.

"That'll probably be five hundred thousand dollars." He told me and the look of irritation was all over his expression.

"I might just go for the dinning room too, look out for that expensive china set you have because that might just end up in a millions pieces too." I warned and he nodded acknowledging it.

"Noted"

He walked up to me and dropped the irritated look, sadness took over and he hugged me.

That's when I broke down.

I cried in the crook of his neck and wrapped my arms around his torso.

"I-I don't know w-what to d-do." I sobbed and he tightened his embrace around my waist. He kissed my head and rocked me side to side.

"Vincent, Drew and Ryder are gone searching for them. If they come back without them then we'll probably know what happened to them." Archer told me rubbing circles on my back.

"Th-they died!" I wailed.

"No, I have a bad feeling its something much worst than dying and I pray it's not what I think it is." He whispered but that didn't really help because I cried even louder.

"You're not helping!" I yelled in his neck as I grabbed a fist full of his shirt.

"I'm sorry baby. Come on, lets go upstairs." He suggested and I nodded.

He lifted me up in his arms and held me bridal style. My arms moved up to his neck and my head laid in the crook of his neck. I breathed in his beautiful apple and cinnamon scent to try and calm me down.

The tears were endless as he carried me up the elegant marble stairs. He slowly walked up to our room while whispering soothing words in my ear.

Once we reached the end of the hall, he twisted the handle and pushed the door open. I closed my eyes as he took a step closer to our bed.

He gently laid me on my back and he climbed over me only to land on his side beside me. He grabbed my hips and twisted them so I'm facing him.

His thumb gently ran over my cheeks and under my eyes, wiping the tears away. Then he cupped my cheek in the palm of his hand.

"We should be searching for him too." I whispered sadly and he nodded.

"I agree, but we can't." He replied.

"Why not? Lucas is my twin brother and Minnie is his mate. I can't lose him again, and it would be a shame to lose a girl I haven't even personally met yet."

He sighed and wrapped me in his embrace. "Yes, he's your twin but don't forget Vincent only has one baby brother and he's doing everything a big brother would do to save his brother and keep his sister safe." Archer continued calmly as his hand rubbed circles on my back, sending sparks flying up and down my body.

"But I can take care of myself." I argued back and Archer bored his baby blue eyes in mine.

"It's just being cautious Lexi. We have no idea what could've happened to them and we... I can't risk losing you." He passionately kissed my lips and pulled away. His forehead laid on mine and I closed my eyes.
