***

My eyes slowly fluttered opened and adjusted to the bright morning sun that shone through Stiles' window. I sat up on Stiles' bed and scanned the room. Stiles was still fast asleep, his mouth wide open, and his head pressed tightly on the pillow. I couldn't help but smile, he was such a spastic.

Memories from last night were blurry. A raspy moan pulled me away from my thoughts. Stiles sat up looking rather confused, "Morning sunshine," I smiled and threw a pillow at his face.

"Hey, hey can you stop yelling at me?!" He groaned and pressed one of his palms to his forehead. "Why is everything so loud?"

"That my friend is the sweet, sweet side-effects of hanging with me." I giggled and joined him on the blow-up mattress.

I sat across from him and crossed my legs, "Remind me to not hang out with you anymore." He complained.

I rolled my eyes and nudged his shoulder, "Oh come on, you had an amazing night."

"I honestly don't know if that's true since I don't remember anything." He scratched his head, trying to piece together his memories from last night.

"Well, in summary we drank... A lot. Danced, laughed and overall you had the best night of your life thanks to me." I informed him, he nodded feebly, and I could tell he was not handling this hangover well. "Come on Stilinski, let's get you some aspirin and food." I grabbed his hand and dragged him out of his room and downstairs.

It took a while, but luckily, we made it to school a few minutes before the bell went. "You coming?" Stiles asked me when I stopped walking down the hallway.

"I'll catch up with you, I've got to go fill in some transfer form at administration." I pursed my lips; he nodded and continued walking.

I walked into administration and started filling out a subject transfer form. A few weeks before Aunt Katherine died, I got my English marks back and I did extremely well. My English teacher ended up suggesting that I should move to AP English to challenge myself and develop my skills. I honestly did not give a shit about challenging myself or moving classes. I was quite happy staying where I was, but Aunt Katherine thought it was a great opportunity and wanted me to do it. So here I am, sitting down, filling out a stupid form.

I finished the form and let a sigh of relief escape my body as I handed the receptionist the form. I turned my back and headed for the door before I heard, "Excuse me Ms Steel, but you forgot to fill out the last part of the form." She said politely. I turned on my heel and marched back. I snatched the form from her hands. My eyes skimming the form until they reached the last line.

Parent or guardians' signature

I froze. The chatter of the office faded into oblivion and I was left staring at two words I no longer new the definition of... Because I no longer had either of those.

Panic flooded through my system. My eyes looked towards the doors and glanced up to see the green exit sign. I gulped. My insides churned. I couldn't move.

Most people in my situation would've started crying; but not me, this wonderful sensation I felt was more like a numbing ache in my hollow chest.

My hand quivered over the line and I gulped again, "Are you okay Sweetie? We just need your parent or guardians' signature. Do you have a parent or guardian to sign this part of the form?"

I didn't know what to do and my breathing became unsteady, "Ms Steel?"

"I-um," I muttered and felt my palms starting to sweat.
