(Your pov)

My family and I had been living in c/n (city name) for thirteen years. By now Mike and Jeremy would be 24, PG and Vince would be 25, and Fritz would be 23 like me. I miss them so much.

I'm going back in a few months. I don't want to be in c/n anymore. There are no open jobs that are appealing to me, and honestly I just really miss the guys. They only were able to visit once or twice in the last 13 years, and if not for the occasional pictures in our texts I would have no idea what they looked like. It's depressing really...

It was a half-hour drive to the mall from our house, and eventually, I got bored on my phone. I looked out the window for a while, daydreaming, and when I felt like we should be close I asked my Mom the dreaded question.

Y/N- Are we there yet?

Mom - *wtf face* Almost. Just three more lights.

Y/N- 1............2.......aaaaand 3! I see it.

Mom - Hehe, you never grow up.

We were doing the last turn to get to our destination but out of nowhere, a truck slammed into the side of our car. Since there wasn't a crumple zone on the side like there is in front of the car, we received much more damage. Our car flipped over and I hit my head on the window I was leaning on before the airbags deployed, knocking myself out.

(Timeskip)

I woke up in a hospital bed wearing nothing but the blue robe thingy. My neck was sore, I had an IV, and my foot hurts to move. A nurse walked in not long after I woke up and apparently my ankle is sprained. She advised me not to move it too much as she replaced my IV bag for a new one, and told me she would alter the doctor.

An older woman eventually came in with a clipboard in her hand. Her glasses sat low on her nose, and her hair was cut in a short brown pixie.

"The good news is that your injuries were very minor, and you may be discharged soon. You might experience headach-..."

Y/N- what about my family?

I interrupted the nurse, whose face changed from neutral friendly to empathetic.

Nurse- I'm sorry miss. They didn't make it out.

'......they.........they died!....no.....'

I started crying. The nurse comforted me but I needed someone I know. After I got my crutches from the nurse I went home to pack and sell the house. Of course, I had to wait till all of the paperwork was completed, and I had to stay long enough to deal with the funeral and will. The whole thing was majorly depressing, and for a while I didn't want to do anything. Packing was a good distraction for me.

Luckily I got my own car a few years ago, so I wasn't vehicle-less after mom's car was totaled. It wasn't until a few months of packing, unpacking, and repacking that I was able to list the house. After everything was packed in the truck and the house was sold I got in my car. I turned on the radio and the song coming home by Puff Daddy and Skylar Gray was on the radio. Fitting for the moment I guess.

(Here are the lyrics)

[Hook: Skylar Grey]

I'm coming home

I'm coming home

Tell the world I'm coming home

Let the rain wash away, all the pain of yesterday
