In the following days and weeks, Ashley was busy. She looked for Tavar and Versimus. When she got a lead where the former was, she traveled to Asia. It was thanks to the rogue warrior she asked for a favor.

She went to Thailand. Bangkok was a very busy, vibrant and diversified city. There were many tourists and many local people. It was notoriously known to have the red-light districts, where she was sure that her kind was attracted to go or hide.

She crouched on the safety rail of a terrace across from a nightclub where Tavar was last seen. She observed the people that came in and out.

"Have you found him yet?" Yoko whispered in her ear as if somebody would hear her.

She glared at her friend who always comes with her wherever she goes. "I won't be here if I already did," she sarcastically replied.

Yoko giggled in her usual spooky way. But Ashley looked away. She noticed someone floating—or was he flying? She wasn't mistaken. It was the Kinnari she met in the Romanian Carpathian region.

'What's he doing here?' she wondered.

"Is he following us?" she asked her friend in a low voice. She was filled with confusion why the Kinnari was there. He even waved at her as he passed by, flying. It was like he was mocking her.

"Looks that way," Yoko answered while looking at the Kinnari with amazement in her eyes.

Ashley blew her breath. She tried to ignore the excitement she felt when she saw the Kinnari once again. But she looked down again at the entrance of the night club. And she really tried to ignore her fluttering heart at the moment. She never expected to see the Kinnari again. Although he was always in her mind, she just didn't foresee her meeting him again. Because of it, she also wondered where he lived, if he had a family or some friends and such other personal things that had got to do with this beautiful creature.

'Snap out of it, Ashley!' she mentally slapped herself. She still had some work to do. And daydreaming or even wondering was not included in it.

She saw a familiar face coming out of the night club. She was ready to pounce. But she let him turn into a corner a block away before she followed him. She crawled and jumped on rooftops while following him. Meanwhile, Yoko was trailing behind her, hovering in the air, and the Kinnari was flying above her.

The vampire went inside an apartment. She quietly slipped through the kitchen window.

"Did you get the money?" She heard Tavar's voice asking the first vampire.

She was confused why Tavar needed some money. Then it was too late for them when they realized that she was already inside the apartment.

"Hello, Tavar!" she greeted him with a smirk.

Tavar was half-naked. In a quick glance at the open-door bedroom, a nude hooker with a bloody neck was lying lifeless in the bed.

"Get her!" Tavar ordered the vampire that she was following that led her to this very room.

She parried the first vampire's attack easily. Tavar, on the other hand, sprinted out of the door, leaving it hanging on one hinge. While she was busy with the first vampire, she heard a loud noise. It was like a huge log that hit the floor. Hard.

In the corner of her eye, she noticed Yoko giggling as she watched the scene unfold in the hallway, just out of Ashley's view. Well, she was busy dealing with the first vampire who was strong enough to fight with her. It was some more seconds that passed by before she managed to turn him into silvery ashes. She used this time her maker's gift, the bronze-hilted silver blade. She had been using it all this time whenever she needed it. It was quite handy. Perhaps, her maker had foreseen what was coming when they had that talk a long time a go.
