Veronica, or V for short, lives a pretty normal life. Even the divorce of her parents didn't stop her from continuing her life. But things become way more awkward when the little feelings she had for her best friend Alex becomes a full blown crush...
For the past week, it was really awkward between Alex and I. I never had the chance to tell him that I love him, so he probably thinks that his love is one-sided.
But how do you tell your best friend that you have loved him since you were little kids?
In chemistry while Ms. Goldberg was giving a lecture, a paper ball landed on my desk. Surprised, I turned around and saw Alex winking at me. Rolling my eyes and smiling at him, I turned back to my desk and started unrolling the crumbled paper.
Hey you, wanna hang after school?
He signed it with a crooked heart. I smiled and shook my head at him. I mouthed studying to him and turned back around. It wasn't particularly the truth but it wasn't a lie. I am just way to scared to talk to him, knowing that he would probably bring up the topic of us.
After my final period, I walked to through the loud halls to the front of the school and started walking and plugging in my earphones. Halfway home, I was humming my favorite song.
