Two days after the 'incident', and Emily still couldn't get on with her life, all she did was sit in her room in the dark listening to Justin's favorite songs and once in a while, breaking into tears causing her mom to rush in to comfort her. Emily told herself repeatedly it never happened or he never existed, it was hard but it was easier than having to deal with the fact that she watched the man she loved die right before her eyes. The crazy thing about it was someday she woke up and forgot he was gone, but then the mourning came back when she picked up her phone to text him. Because she couldn't...

Justin's parents still kept in touch with Emily, Jackie texted her almost everyday.

JACKIE: Hi Emma how are you doing.

EMILY: If you count me feeling dead inside, and feeling like I have no purpose in life, and miserable as good then yeah I'm amazing

JACKIE: oh honey, you know he loved you...he wouldn't want you to be like this I know it.

EMILY: have you been in his room yet?...

JACKIE: no it's...too early, maybe after the funeral.

Emily had almost forgotten, she hadn't been really keeping track of anything. But as soon as Jackie mentioned it, Emily remembered.

Justin's funeral was in about 3 days or so, she didn't want to go but she had to... for him. it was the fact that people would look at her and think

'look that's the girl who was in the car with Justin, why couldn't she have died instead of him.' And they wouldn't have been the only ones thinking it, she always thought that way.

Emily was watching television when suddenly something inside her broke and she remembered the face of the truck driver. The rage inside her exploded, now this wasn't something out of the ordinary since Justin died. She would jump out of her bed and throw her computer chair across the room screaming and shouting, then she would grab some posters and rip them off the walls. Or she would grab her spelling bee trophies and throw them across the room, kick the wall and pull the blankets off the bed or knock off all the papers on her desk to the ground.

After about 5 minutes, she would grow tired and just collapse on the ground in tears letting out great sobs and she would cover her ears like someone was yelling into them.

And that's when her mom and dad would walk in, her mom would fall and wrap her arms around her cradling her whispering "shhhh...its okay Emily, it's okay..."

But it wasn't okay, it'll never be okay again, not without Justin. She wouldn't accept the fact that he was gone, she wanted it to all just be a dream but obviously it didn't, it wasn't no matter how much she wanted it to be, it wasn't.

Her foot still hurt, in the accident her foot got really injured and the only reason she never felt it was because when she woke up after collapsing due to the severe blood lost she saw the trucker and she had too much adrenalin to notice and after that the doctors had given her medication to calm her down. So she didn't really feel anything in the hospital or the ambulance. But anyway, she lost her leg. she had a prosthetic one now, and once in a while her stitches would hurt.

She was still getting used to it and laying in bed all day didn't really help to get used to walking in it for the rest of her life.

Three days now, since the incident and only two days till she was going to see him again. Not alive, no. But till she saw him. She wasn't prepared to see him, she wasn't ready to see Justin in a box where he was dressed up like he was at the dance but this time she wouldn't be able to see his shinning smile or his green eyes. That thought just made her cry.

Gary and Derek visited her that day, they wanted to know how she was.

"So how have you been?" Derek asked

"Well I've been through hell, and now I'm stuck on this god forsaken planet as always except now I don't have Justin by my side." Emily would answer as she sat up in her bed still staring at the television.

"Well you've got us and, that girl what was her name j-jemma, Julia?" Gary said.

"You mean Jenna?" she asked looking at them for the first time, with her miserable eyes drained of happiness.

"THATS HER! Wasn't she your old friend?" Derek asked.

Emily looked back at the television and lifted her arm to change the channel.

"Oh yeah..her, she would just want to hear everything...about Justin. I don't think that'll help anyways."

"Well let's go out, somewhere you know get your mind off of th-" Gary couldn't finish cause Emily turned off the television and stood up in front of Gary with an angry and serious face,

"My mind off of what Gary?, off of Justin?! are you suggesting I forget his entire existence?!!," she said flailing her arms up and taking a step closer at the end of every sentence making Gary take a step back. "Believe me if I could forget the way he smiled and the way he looked at me and HIM entirely I would, IVE TRIED!!" She continued.

Just then Derek stepped in between them.

"Emily Gary didn't mean it that way, and by the way you're acting right now I'm guessing Jenna, and you getting out of the house is a good idea, I mean it's not SUCH a bad idea" he said it ready to flinch as if Emily was going to hit him, he's lucky she didn't in the conditions she was in.

"Just get out both of you...you're no help, I need.. I-I want Justin.." Emily said crying now and stepping back with her hands covering her ears. If anything she looked like a crazy lunatic.

She sorta was.

"Emily were trying to help!" Gary shouted.

"GET OUT NOW GET OUT!!!" Emily yelled climbing into a ball on her bed crying with a pillow covering her ears.

When she wasn't looking Derek took her phone and they both left the room.

Outside of the room they could hear Emily beginning to throw things, Gary and Derek just looked through her contacts and right before Justin's contact was Jenna's. They dialed it.

"Hello?" a soft sweet voice answered.

"Hello is this Jenna?" Derek asked, with Emily's cries in the back round.

"Who the hell is this what have you done to Emily?!" Jenna demanded, Derek explained everything including Justin's passing and Emily's state for the past three days. "I'll be right over." Jenna said after and with that she hung up while Emily's parents walked into the room to calm her down.

This was it...it was the day. Justin's funeral, it wouldn't be as bad maybe since this time Emily had Jenna with her. she didn't know how or why Jenna came over two days ago and never left, but somehow she knew about everything and Emily was kinda happy about having her by her side once again. She just wished she could have Justin by her side once again, Emily was wearing a black dress. It wasn't anything special really it just reached her knees and had a lace belt going around the waist. Jenna wore a normal dress but obviously on her it looked beautiful.

"Aren't you going to wear makeup?" Jenna asked Emily.

"No," she responded and thought of Justin "he liked me better without makeup.."

Justin felt so far away, like Emily couldn't reach him ever again yet there he was...

she COULD touch him at that very moment...
