Sherlock oneshot- note on the fridge

A lot of 'normal' couples like to exercise their love for each other by doing cute little things here and there which keep the affection ablaze. For example, some but each other flowers or make pancakes together, Sherlock however, isn't quite informed of this tradition.
"We should do more to show we love each other sherly" you cooed from the living room as Sherlock stared intently at a glass slide in his microscope. He dismissed your fleeting comment with the declarative holophrase "busy". This signalled to you that he wasn't in the mood for emotional drainage that early in the day.

After a long day at work, you returned to an empty flat. Sherlock was still out with John, probably sprinting round London for some ludicrous reason. As you put your bag down, a yellow post-it note caught caught the attention of your gaze and you wandered over to it, curiously. You bent down to read it.

'We need more milk'

You sighed and ripped the note off, intending to crumple it and throw it away. However, just as you were about to, light from the window behind you, shone into the paper and revealed some fainter text. Becoming more and more curious, you turned the note over and inspected the back. Instantly, your heart melted...

'(Y/n). I've been thinking about what you said this morning. I should do more to show I love you but I can't always express myself verbally. So... I now intend to use the fridge as a kind of portal for communication to you. My first message is I love you. Always have and always will. xxx'

Clapped a hand to your mouth to stop you from sobbing as the note fluttered to your feet. Your face quickly became stained with tears of happiness and satisfaction, you were in the best mood you've been in for ages. An hour later, when Sherlock arrived home, you are to him and wrapped your arms around his pale neck and sobbed onto his chest.
"I see you got my note..." He said smiling,
"Oh yes... Yes I did you wonderful man! I love you so much!"

"I love you too (y/n)"
