Nai's P.O.V
I wake up slowly but figure out quickly I'm being held tightly in place. I squirm and feel the restraints slowly move away. I open one eye and see Gareki removing his arms from around me. Today must be a Saturday since nobody is really moving around outside. Time for the morning routine. 'Force Gareki to eat and take a shower, check. Grab gauze and ointment from a drawer, check. Replace old bandages for new ones and place on Gareki's cuts, check. Take a shower and get dressed, check. Force self to eat, check. Make sure things are clean and tidy, check' I realize after thinking of this list of things to do I forgot to go see Mitzi. Gareki helps replace the bandage on my arm even though anything touching it even slightly, burns like lava rocks being placed upon delicate skin. "I'm going to check on Mitzi!" I yell and wait for no reply before rushing down the stairs and into the dungeon of death.
Mitzi is doing what she always does when I come to see her, rocking in the blood stained corner. She has less cuts and the ones she does have are quite small so she must have had those cuts for longer than Gareki had his. I unlock the cage and approach her. She slowly wraps her arms around me and I hug her back. "We're leaving." I calmly whisper in her ear. She nods and stares blankly ahead. I take her hand a quickly lead her up to the secret attic room. Gareki must have gone out and stolen food from the kitchen because when I open the mini fridge, (which he also stole,) its jam packed with food. I look at him and he smiles innocently knowing he risked being found. "Do you know what could happen if you were to be found?! What in the world made you think that was a good idea?! Not to mention you didn't even tell me about it!!" I don't know exactly what went off in me that made me scream that but I sure as anything meant it. This is when we both snapped, not just from anger but I think we kind of took everything that's been bothering us these last weeks and took it out on each other. "I did it so we wouldn't starve!" "You could have at least warned me about it!" "Oh just like you warned us about the ship!?" After this I ran, I didn't even care where at this point. All I wanted was to get away. He was right it was my fault we're trapped here. Tears start to stain my cheeks but I angrily wipe them away and run down to the room they originally gave me and lock myself in.
Gareki's P.O.V
I didn't mean to make him cry. I don't even know why I would say that. He's been through just as much as we have over the past couple days. The only difference is most of our wounds are physical, most of his are mental. I sit on the edge of the empty bed and put my face in my hands. Mitzi quietly comes over and sits next to me. "Why would you say that to him?" Her words don't sound angry but I know if I look up at her, her eyes will be ablaze with fury. The only thing I manage is a small shrug and the attempt at the words I don't know. She pats my back slightly. "You should apologize tomorrow when he comes up here." Her suggestion is supposed to sound nice but there is a hint of anger in there as well. She's on the road of going back to her normal weird self. Since tomorrow is a Sunday nobody will be working in the dungeon so she makes a bed on the floor and passes out. Soon after that I drift off as well only to be woken multiple times from nightmares and Mitzi sleep attacking the floor.
