Nai's P.O.V

I begin to wake up and try to move. I feel cold metal around my wrists and ankles only allowing a little bit of movement. I back up only to find hardwood. 'So I'm chained to this pole' I think as I stand up a bit. The chains clank together and I'm able to stand up straight. I look around and see many eyes on me. The lady from before walks over and I back up into the pole. She runs a hand along my jaw and I jerk my head away and snarl at her. She backs up and I take a tiny step forward trying to swing at her when the chains tighten and I'm pulled against the pole. I hiss and snarl struggling against the weight that is holding me against the post. She places a new set of chains around my neck and yanks on them. I yelp in pain as my head is jerked down along with my entire body. I hear a whip crack in front of me and look up to see that sadistic smile again. She attaches a spiked metal piece to the end of her whip and cracks it again. I feel the restraints slightly let up and use this chance to lunge out and sink my teeth into her leg. She screeches and grabs her leg in pain. I jerk my body hoping whatever is holding my chains let's go. While I was busy she must have gotten up and heated up that metal piece on the end of the whip. She grabbed hold of my face with one hand and jerked it up to look at her. I spit in her eyes and tore my face away from her. She backed up and brought the whip all the way up and down across my torso. I howled in pain and backed up against the pole as I felt blood ooze from my now bruised torso. She took out a knife and sunk it into my side and hit my face with the whip. I struggled and she suddenly let go of the chain around my neck making me throw my head back, smacking it against the pole. The world spins and all I remember after that is coughing up blood and the vile copper taste before I hit the ground and passed out.

Gareki's P.O.V

I was seething with rage. How dare she do such terrible things to my Nai. I look at Mitzi and she looks just about ready to murder everyone. I look back up at the stage and see the woman now with bloodied hands standing and smiling sadisticly next to the president. I'm too distracted by Nai to even hear what she's saying at this point. Before I can stop her Mitzi silently slips out two serrated knives and flings them, the first one hits the lady right in the throats and the other hits the president in the arm. Mitzi hisses in agitation while everyone starts running around and screaming. Bridget clings to Mitzi and I dash forward towards Nai. Mitzi soon gets my idea and follows with Bridget tucked in her "purse". With all the chaos we should be okay. Me and Mitzi take out the guy holding Nai's chains and then unlock them all. I sling Nai over my shoulder making sure to cover him with my jacket. Before we run into the building and into the attic room I look back to see president Stone being escorted quickly off the field and into the building and the lady being covered with a white sheet being escorted to the burial grounds.

We finally manage to reach the attic room without being seen. I put Nai in the tub and began to gently remove his tattered shirt so I could tend to his wounds. I wet some wash cloths and dab them gently on and around the deep cuts. After I get all the blood and dirt off I wrap him in gauze and bandages and get him into some new clean clothes. I gently pick him up bridal style and place him in bed where I gently climb in beside him and pull him close making sure not to jostle him too much. I hear Mitzi and Bridget in the kitchen probably preparing for the morning before I finally pass out.

I wake up and rub my eyes. I roll over releasing my grip on Nai and fall off the bed. I hear snickering and see Mitzi looking at me from the kitchen laughing slightly. I growl at her and get up rubbing my arm. I look over at the bed to see Nai still unconscious. I sigh and make my way to the kitchen. Bridget is asleep with her head buried in her arms on the floor. "Everything will be okay." Mitzi walks over and rubs my back. I can tell she's not only reassuring me but also herself. "I hope so." I try not to let her hear my voice crack but it's useless. I fall to my knees and bury my face in my hands. I try to hold back the sobs and tears but my efforts are useless. "What if he never wakes up?!" I scream only making me cry harder. She hugs me and whispers something incoherent to me. Bridget wakes up hearing us and stumbles over also hugging me. "Is Nai the okay now? I want to play a game with him." I hug her afraid to tell her he might never wake up so instead I tell her he'll wake up soon. She giggles and goes to the bathroom to clean her hands. "He'll wake up soon I promise." Mitzi whispers and hugs me one last time before going to change the bandages on Nai. I stay where I am not sure if I can bear to see my precious Nai still unconscious.
