Chapter 3

Richard texted his mother that she said yes and he was on his way home. Martha told everyone the party was on and that they would be home soon. Kate and Rick got in the Ferrari and Kate leaned over and kissed Rick. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you Richard Castle" "And I can't wait to spend the rest of mine with you." They arrived at the front door of the loft and Rick opened the door letting Kate go in first. "Surprise!" everyone at the loft yelled. Kate was blushing so much as Rick was shutting the door. Martha came up to Kate and said, "I can't wait for you to be my daughter in-law." Kate smiled at this compliment and replied, "I can't wait to have a mother again." Kate and Rick thanked everyone for sharing this special day with them. After everyone was finished congratulating them and looking at Kate's gorgeous, 3 Karat, engagement ring the phone rang. Alexis answered it and the voice on the other line was silent... all she could hear was heavy breathing. She hung it up and thought nothing of it. They called back an hour later and Kate answered. "Hello" "Hello Kate, how are you? Congrats on your engagement. Sorry to say you'll never be able to get married and have a family." The person said all muffled. "Who is this!" Kate demanded. "Wouldn't you like to know? Goodbye deary." Kate hung up the phone. Seeing her scared expression, Rick walked over to see what was wrong. "Kate is everything okay?" "No, someone just called saying that I would never get married or be able to have a family." "Oh honey, everything will be alright" Rick and Kate walked out of their room and back to the party. "Who wants cake?" Martha excitedly said. "Oh oh meeee." Castle said. Martha started to pass around the cake as Alexis made a toast, "Dad I'm so happy for you and Kate I can't wait to have a mom as loving and caring as you." The party was over and

everyone had gone home except Alexis and Martha. "Dear I'm gonna take Alexis with me tonight." Martha said "Ok mom, thanks." Kate looked at Rick and said, "What do you wanna do now?" "Well, soon to be Mrs. Castle let's head upstairs." As Rick and Kate were walking up the stairs they heard a click.

BOOM- BOOM- BOOM !!!
