"Nicole, he likes you" Reese said. I stood there motionless at her words. He liked me? But if he really did why was he with Cindy?

"No" I answered. "Nicky just think about it". "What is there to think about if he liked me he wouldn't be with Cindy". "Maybe he's doing what your doing". "With zach?". "Mhm" Reese slowly nodded her head.

I thought about it. Every time I talk to zach, he turns and is upset. He try's to impress me around his girlfriend. What else could there be? Then I had to accept maybe reese was right. Was this whole girlfriend thing just to get over me or win me back.

Zach came by and squeezed my hand. I just looked down wondering what was really going on. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Nothing" I fake smiled. "Nicole? What's wrong I'm your best friend tell me anything". Then I pulled zach by the arm outside of chic fil a.

"Zach you promise you won't mention anything to Jonah?" I begged. "Yes of course". "Reese told me she's pretty sure he's only dating Cindy to get to me, she thinks he's only dating her to get his mind off me and make me jealous". Zach paused and looked at Jonah. I looked over also. He didn't seem happy. He wasn't the Jonah I normally see.

"You can't tell anyone this" zach said. "Ok". "The other day Daniel told me he saw Jonah trying to text you but he couldn't send you, apparently he was trying to say something along the lines of I need to talk to you and he never sent anything and we don't know why" zach admitted. The moment he said that it made me look over at Jonah. He saw me looking and he waved I made a fake smile and turned away.

"Seriously?" I asked. "Daniel wouldn't lie about that". "No I mean why didn't he just say anything he's clearly unhappy". "And so are you" Zach said. "This is about Jonah not me" I replied. "But what I'm saying is the more he knows your upset the more he wants to do but he can't". "Maybe show him your happy and you don't need him and see what he does" Zach responded. He honestly has helped me so much. And maybe his new plan would work. Well I hope.

We met back up with reese jack Jonah and Cindy and started to walk around. Me and zach held hands but it wasn't comfy for either one of us.

"I think it's working" zach whispered. "How do you know?" I asked. "I just looked back Jonah looks upset". "Now that's making me upset" I complained. "Nicole come on we have to get him to listen by doing this". I slowly nodded my head. As much as I wanted Jonah it felt terrible having to pretend like I didn't care. Because I did care.

A lot.

I wanted him. But he may or may not be doing this for me. But I had to do this for him.
