Only the beginning

The next day I was going back to school. I was going to see reese but the boys were just staying back home. Technically they didn't have to go to school. Since they were off tour they had a short little break. But it would last much longer. Zach was trying to work his magic before they left.

And I had about 5 more days left.

Today at school I met up with reese and tony. Tony again got a new girlfriend but this time it didn't hurt me. Reese and jack were still together and they couldn't be any better. Me and Daniel had a long conversation last night about Jonah. He's trying to get the old Jonah back also. Corbyn heard us and joined in and had his baby glasses on the whole time.

When I got at school today I met up with reese. Ever since she started dating jack she got more popular. And ever since everyone found out we hung out with them we got more popular. I didn't really care for that neither did reese but it was different.

After all my classes with reese we went off to my house. We did homework and sat in my room. I finished my homework early and I just scrolled through my phone while reese did hers. Then I stared out the window.

"Are you going to the winter dance?" Reese asked. "Crap isn't that next week?". "Yea". "Me and jack might go what about you and zach". "I don't know I mean Jonah won't be there so what's the point. "Well I mean you never know". "True should I mention it?". "Mention it around Jonah!" She said. I thought about it. Would Jonah take it seriously and not like this? That was the whole point, wasn't it?

"That idea isn't that bad" I Said. "I agree, when's the next time you will see zach?" She asked. I didn't know honestly. When she mentioned zach it sounded like she was calling him my boyfriend. I almost didn't like it but when I tonight she was only saying it bc of Jonah it made me feel better.

"Why don't you go ask him now? I mean if you go to his house Jonah will most likely see it". "That's true Should I?". "Yea I guess". "Lets go" she said.

We got in the car and drove to zachs place. We listened to why don't we music the whole time but when it came to jonahs part I couldn't focus. I used to be able to be happy when I listened to him sing. Now it just made me wonder what ever happened to us. But whatever we had will be fixed. Well at least that's what I hoped.

We pulled up into zachs driveway and I opened the door to get out. "wish me luck" I said to reese. "Remember try to get Jonah jealous. The whole dance revolves around him wanting you back". I nodded my head and went to the doorbell. I rang the doorbell and waiting a few seconds. I head the boys all talking. Then I finally heard the door start open. The door opened to reveal Jonah.

"Hey" I said. "Hey what are you doing here?" He asked. "Well I have a question for zach is he here?". "Oh um yah he's in the kitchen" Jonah pointed out. But when Jonah said that he sounded heartbroken. Just how I felt. And that feeling I was trying not to feel.

I walked into the kitchen and Jonah shut the door. I got in there and saw zach on his phone taking selfies. Daniel of course was next to him eating Watermellon. Jack was somewhere else and corbyn was in the living room.

"Hey" I said. "Best friend?" I heard corbyn say from the couch. "Yes corby". He ran off the couch to come and hug me. "What's up?" He asked. "Well I was hoping if I could talk to zach". Zach looked up from his phone. He looked at Jonah and looked at me. He made a question face as if it was about him. I slowly nodded and got out of the chair. He took my hand and took me outside.

"New plan?" He asked. "Well the winter dance is Friday and I need a date but I want Jonah to come and see". "We can go together and you invite him to come also but say your just friends". "Should I ask in. Front of him?". "Yup" Zach quickly opened the door. He nodded at me. It was my turn to ask.

"Well zach the winter dance is Friday wanna come?" I said the minute I got in. Things couldn't be any more awkward. Then I quickly saw Jonah look at me. Our eyes locked and he had a look on his face. One I could never forget. I had never seen him so upset. And I immediately took back what I did. But I was to late. He walked upstairs and I heard him shut his door. "Well yeah" zach responded after seeing everything. Now I just had to find a way to get Jonah to come. But how.
