Days passed and Bang's condition became stable. She is transferred now to a private room but she's still on life support. She has yet to wake up from coma.
It's a weekend. Den just came from Bang's room when she met Aly at the corridor. Maraming bitbit si Aly na gamit at napansin naman yun ni Den.
"What's up, Doc?" said Aly smiling.
"Uy, dami mong dala ah. Naglayas ka na ba?" tanong ni Den.
"Haha. Hindi naman. Mama Bha and I have decided that I'll take the night shift sa pagbabantay. May work kasi ako sa morning," Aly said smiling.
Aly felt a bit lighter since Bang's condition became better. For her, it's a good sign.
Malapit na siyang bumalik. Iyan ang naiisip niya.
"Ganoon ba? So everyday ka nandito?" tanong ulit ni Den.
"Hoy, Lazaro. Hindi mo ba napapansin na araw-araw naman akong nandito? Ngayon mas magsasawa ka pa sa mukha ko," Aly's laughing now.
Hindi naman ako magsasawa. Especially, if I can see you that happy. Den thought.
"Ang malas naman. Bang really needs to wake up," biro ni Den.
"Kunyari ka pa. If I know miss na miss mo ko," ganti ni Aly at kumindat pa.
"Whatev, Valdez," said Den. But yes, I missed you a lot. Gusto sanang idugtong ni Den pero hindi pwede.
"Let me help you with that," said Den while grabbing one of Aly's bags.
Pumasok sila sa kwarto at nilapag ang mga gamit.
"Hi, Hon," said Aly. Tumakbo siya kay Bang at hinalikan ang pisngi nito.
Sa mga ganitong eksena, Den has learned to turn her back para hindi siya masaktan sa makikita niya.
"I'll go now, Aly," paalam ni Den.
"Have you taken your lunch na, Den?" asked Aly.
Den was about to answer when someone entered the door.
"Aly, anak. Sorry if ngayon lang kami nakabalik ng Papa mo." It's Pablita, Aly's mom. They came from a business conference in Singapore.
Napansin naman nito ang Doctor sa room. "Den? Hija, long time no see! Namiss ka namin," said Mama Pabs while hugging Den.
Gulat na gulat si Den. She doesn't know how to react. She was expecting Aly's parents to somehow be disappointed in her after what happened between her and Aly.
"Look at you. Natupad mo na ang pangarap mo. We're so happy for you," said Raul, Aly's dad.
"Thank you po, Tito and Tita," said Den softly.
"Anong Tito, tita? I'm not used to hear you calling us na ganoon. Call us Mama and Papa. Just like the old times," said Raul while smiling at Den.
Den looked at Aly and Aly gave her a reassuring smile.
"Kamusta pala si Bang?" asked Mama Pabs. Nilapitan nito si Bang at hinawakan ang kamay.
Hindi pa sila gaanong nagkakakilala ni Bang. Mas madalas kasi na si Aly ang na kila Bang and not the other way around. Busy rin kasi silang mag-asawa sa business.
Aly answered, "Her condition's okay. Pero ayan, ayaw pang dumilat. Hoy, gising na!"
She really can't help joking around even on serious things. She feels lighter with the recent improvements.
"Hayaan mo anak, when she wakes up, babawi kami sa kanya, sa inyo," said Raul.
"Asahan ko yan, Pa ha," said Aly. She then turned her attention to Bang, "Did you hear it? Gising ka na diyan ha. They're excited to bond with us."
