"Cheers!"
Den is in a local pub with her friends from the hospital. Since the weather is cold, her friends invited her for a drink. She's not much of a drinker but she heeded the invitation. May pinagdadaanan din naman siya kaya gusto niyang uminom.
A band is performing for the customers. The back of Den's seat is facing the stage. Hindi man niya nakikita yung nagpeperform, she's still enjoying the music.
Den is in the middle of a conversation with her colleagues when the band vocalist made an announcement.
"Good evening, everyone! Well I guess I would have to rest my vocal chords for a while. Someone from the audience wants to borrow my guitar and also my spotlight," the leader of the band said.
Den just rolled her eyes at this. Must be the local drunk. She thought.
The vocalist continued, "This person told me that she has to do this to get her love back. So without further ado, let's give the floor to this hopeless romantic gal here!"
This gathered cheers from the crowd.
An Asian girl took the guitar. She started strumming. She is now singing "Water Runs Dry" by Boyz II Men. Some of the lyrics go:
Let's don't wait till the water runs dry
We might watch our whole lives pass us by
Let's don't wait till the water runs dry
We'll make the biggest mistake of our lives
Don't do it, babyI know that voice. Naisip ni Den. She turned around and was surprised to see the person she least expects. What's even crazier is that she's singing for Den to win her back.
Anong ginagawa nito dito?! Tanong ni Den sa sarili.
When the song's about to finish, Den ran out of the place.
"Excuse me, guys. I have to go," she said before leaving.
"Den!" shouted Aly. She stood up, returned the guitar, and rushed to the door.
"Den, sandali lang!" sigaw ni Aly.
Both of them are running in the snow. Patuloy pa din sa pagtakbo si Den. Aly ran after her and grabbed her arm.
"Ano ba? Bitawan mo nga ako!" Den said angrily.
"No, Den. You can't run away from me. In fact, you are never running away from me again!" Aly said.
"What the hell are you talking about?! Let me go!"
"Den, could we please talk somewhere else? Grabe ang ginaw dito. Hindi ko kakayanin," pleaded Aly.
"I don't give a damn kahit magyelo ka pa diyan. Wala na tayong dapat pag-usapan. Kaya pwede ba?! Let. Me. Go!" nanggigil na sabi ni Den.
"Bakit ka ba galit na galit sa akin? I came here for you kaya pwede kausapin mo naman ako," pakiusap pa din ni Aly.
"Para ano? Para imbitahan sa kasal mo? Are you really that insensitive?!" asked Den.
"What?! Anong kasal ang sinasabi mo diyan?" pabalik na tanong ni Aly.
"Will you stop acting innocent? Magmamaang-maangan ka pa diyan!" Nakawala si Den and she's walking away again. Habol pa rin ang Alyssa.
"Den, naguguluhan ako. Can you please explain kung anong kasal ang sinasabi mo? Hindi naman ako magpapakasal e," asked the confused Aly.
"Now I see. Hindi pa. Hindi ka pa magpapakasal because what?! Because you have to see first the girl from the past in order to find out if you're really ready to spend your life with someone else. Tama ba ha?!" asked Den.
