There stood the woman. She looked back at the vampire hunter, then back at Mikachi. "Are you the one who defeated him?" She asked.
"That'd be me." Ryken answered.
"A human boy defeated you?" The woman asked the vampire hunter.
"He.. Is too.. Strong..." The vampire hunter said before passing out.
"That's what he get for wearing all that clothing." Ryken said.
"Listen here kid!" The woman started.
"I'm 15."
"Any defiance against the vampire hunters is a threat to my organization! And you did more than that! You beat him up!" The woman said. Ryken remained quiet. "That's why- I! Malisa!"Malisa struck a pose. "Of the Zero X organization will defeat you!" Malisa struck another pose. "This pose is one no one can stri-...." Ryken mimicked Malisa's pose.
"This pose? I think I can see why you pose." Ryken said.
"H-How?! And it was perfect! But you can't possibly know wh-"
"It boosts your morale and your allies' morale. And it marks that your using 2/4 power at the beginning of the fight." Ryken interrupted again. Ryken left the pose and went back to his normal stance.
"You know what? Forget it! I'll end this right away." Malisa said. She grabbed onto her pole. "Aren't...Aren't you going to take your fighting stance?"
"This is my stance." Ryken said straight faced, as he's been the whole time.
"It doesn't matter anyway. Because your already defeated!" Malisa said as she swung her pole at Ryken. Ryken stood still as the pole seemed to have went threw him. It was an illusion. Then the next swing he leaned back, for that was actually an attack. Malisa swung again and Ryken disarmed her with a counter then both engaged in hand to hand close combat. Both took turns attacking and dodging. "Your actually keeping up with my speed! I'm amazed!" Ryken remained silent and continued to take turns attacking and dodging. Mikachi sat next to the injured vampire hunter, seeing that he was awake.
"What..? You... plan.. to kill me?" The vampire hunter asked.
"What? No!" Mikachi answered.
"Wha... What?"
"Not all vampires are bad." Mikachi said.
"But... You vampires kill for human blood! How could you not be!?" The injured vampire hunter asked.
"Me? No. I go for the blood animals too. I only drink human blood after they attack me when I've did nothing. We vampires can be easily fulled with a baby chicken's blood. Other vampires drink human blood because it refills their energy up to use their powers and it has a chance to give us new ones. But that's not what I came over for. So, what think on this fight?" Mikachi asked.
"(I.. I guess I can trust her... I'd been killed already if she was the greedy type.)" The man said to himself. Then he said to Mikachi, "I don't even think they're using all of their power. That kid... That boy.. However... Is he your friend?"
"No. I only recently met him." Mikachi answered.
"Well... who..ever he is... He holds some power... This battle won't end in Malisa's favor." the man said. The endless cycle of punches and kicks stopped and both fighters leaped back for distance away from each other. Malisa began to catch her breath.
"You can hold for your own. But it won't be enough." Malisa said, still catching her breath.
"Wow. So much pride in this town!" Ryken said.
"How about we go all out? No holding back!" Malisa pushed. Malisa dashed for Ryken. As Ryken looked down, a phycotic smile was drawn on his face and his eye reticle shrunk. No one noticed this. Ryken caught himself and erased his face back to his straight face. Ryken moved at a faster speed than malisa and kneed her stomach. She was sent flying backwards not able to recover due to how heavy that attack was. Malisa hit the building wall and fell onto the ground. Malisa didn't get back up. Ryken walked to Malisa. Malisa looked up with a little fear. Ryken held his hand out.
"What's your group called?" Ryken asked. Malisa grabbed his hand and was pulled up. She couldn't completely stand and nearly fell but Ryken caught her and helped her stand.
"I don't have authorization to speak it's name. Only the team I'm assigned under..." Malisa answered.
"There are stronger people than you in that group right?"
"Yes."
"Is there a way I can fight them?"
"Well... They are joining a tournament in 3 days." Malisa answered. "I... I can stand alone now..." Ryken let go of Malisa.
"How do I get in?" Ryken asked.
"There's signups tomorrow just outside of this village to the south."
"Good" Ryken said turning around.
"If... I go back without reporting that I completed this task, they'll cancel the plan to join to find who defeated me." Malisa warned.
"Notify them of me, the one who defeated you. And tell them of my plan to enter. That'll ensure they join." Ryken said, beginning to walk off. Ryken stopped. "Mikachi, is it? You should enter too. For a chance to fight me and for your own training. And... Try to hide that your vampire." Ryken left.
"Vampire!" Malisa called.
"Hmm?"
"If you can keep your race hidden then I'll decide not to kill you. Be grateful of my offer." Malisa said. She picked up the vampire hunter and walked off. So Mikachi returned to her home as well.
