"(It's been a while since I was here.)" Ryken thought to himself as he stopped to look at a house. Ryken walked up to the door then opened it. A girl's voice came out.
"Ryken! Your back!" A girl ran to Ryken to hug him.
"Oh. It's you, Kimeku. You're that excited to see me?" Ryken said seeing that it was someone he grew up with. Kimeku was more cat than human. The fur that covers her body is grey. The human hair she has is black, fading into purple at the bottom of it. Today she wore a white shirt that has a huge R on the front and the shirt hung over the side of her right shoulder. Her pants are white as well. Her tail and ear's fur is black.
"The person I grew up with disappeared for nearly a year. Of course I'm excited!" Kimeku said, still hugging Ryken.
"Oh. Heh heh, I'm sorry." Ryken said.
"For what?"
"For disappearing like that. I just had a urge for an adventure." Ryken answered.
"That's okay. Just promise you'll take me next on your next one!"
"Okay. I promise." Kimeku let go of Ryken. Ryken noticed the shirt. "Oh. I see you still wear my shirt."
"Hehe, it was the one thing that reminded me most of you." Kimeku explained.
"You've felt that lonely?"
"I'm not like you. You can be alone for the rest of your life and still not feel lonely." Ryken remained silent.
"Any sign?"
"No. Not even one." Kimeku answered.
"Mm. Oh, right. I have a little something for you." Ryken said as he pulled out a necklace. Ryken put it on Kimeku. Kimeku gasped.
"This is..."
"That's right. Seen it sitting in a shop."
"Oh my gosh! Thank you!" Kimeku said as she gave Ryken another hug. "Ryken! I want you to try something. Come on!" Kimeku grabbed Ryken's hand and pulled him with her to the kitchen. She picked up a piece of cake and put it in Ryken's mouth. Ryken chewed it as Kimeku watched to see his reaction.
"woah.. Woah! This is...This is amazing! You made this?" Ryken asked.
"Yep! And I didn't need no teacher!"
"I'm impressed. You nearly got me to smile warmly."
"Heehee! So. Why don't you tell me of your journey?"
"Sure. Come. I'll tell you outside." Ryken said. The two walked out the building and to the front of a pond in a open field. The two sat facing the pond. "The long journey, I'll tell you later about. I'll tell you about what happened when I returned to town. To start it off, I met a vampire girl. Our first encounter ended with me to tell her to find me the next day and use all of her power. That day came and she just had began to get started. But before she could get to it, a vampire hunter showed up. He tried to end her with a surprise, using his sniper. I stopped that. By simply pushing her. The Hunter came down, started a fight with me and.. I won."
"I'm not even the least surprised."
"Then he called for backup. But this wasn't any normal backup. It was a girl the age of 18 from some group that values their poses. She was way better than the vampire hunter could imagine to be. I still wasn't using my half of my power. I won again. The girl told me about her allies, who are stronger than her. They are going to join a tournament in three days. I'm planning on entering as well." Kimeku gasped.
"Can I come and watch?" Kimeku asked.
"Of course. You'll beable to see me in action to. If any of the opponents are any skilled."
"Heh heh, I look forward to this. What will you do until then?" Kimeku asked
"Besides meditation, I guess I'll do a little self training." Ryken answered.
"You'll need a good night's rest in comfy spot too! And I know just the place! Your old room!"
"Wait. Aren't you sleeping in there?"
"I have my own place to sleep."
"My old room is the most comfortable. I prefer you be more comfortable than me."
"There's no need to be so nice! Don't worry about me!" Kimeku said with a smile.
"A..Are you sure?"
"I insist!" Kimeku said.
