When by the plane landed, Changbin felt sick. The turbulence was extremely bad for this flight and he had to grip on to Hyunjin's arm for almost the entire flight. So when they finally touched down, he had to resist the urge to hug the ground.
"Do you need medicine? You look pretty ill." Hyunjin asked, concerned about Changbin's pale demeanor.
He shook his head and assured Hyunjin he was fine, that it was just the constant motion of the plane, but Hyunjin still held on to Changbin's arm in case.
"Alright, let's hurry and get to the hotel and get you rested up." Hyunjin walked at a steady pace, supporting Changbin.
"What are you doing? I'm not crippled, it's fine. Stop worrying." Changbin insisted, shaking him off.
Hyunjin slowly shaked his head, Changbin never liked acting weak even though he wasn't feeling too strong. He always had a tough front on. Hyunjin just wanted to help him but it was hard helping someone who didn't want to be helped.
Even though Hyunjin insisted on staying in the hotel room, Changbin wanted to go out and explore the country.
"Come on, we've only got a few days here. Live a little!" Changbin exclaimed, pushing Hyunjin off the bed and towards the door. Eventually, Hyunjin gave in and they headed out.
Hyunjin looked at Changbin taking a bunch of photos and ooh-ing at interesting sights, and he smiled. He was glad Changbin was enjoying himself in this trip.
In Japan, Changbin was constantly quiet and hardly smiled. Hyunjin saw his phone homescreen before of Changbin and a taller blonde guy smiling happily. It still was his wallpaper till today but Changbin never talked about him. He suspected they were a thing before Changbin moved to Japan but he didn't ask any further as he respected his privacy."Hey, can we go to the mall now?" Changbin asked, looking hopefully at the taller.
Hyunjin nodded. He knew he could never resist Changbin's pleads. He wanted to make Changbin as happy as possible.
Everything intrigued Changbin. It was a funny scene really, a shorter male exploring different shops while a taller guy dragged his feet behind, seemingly bored. Upon first glance, it would seem like Hyunjin was the tired boyfriend, forced to follow his girlfriend around shopping.
Hyunjin and Changbin had different likes when it came to travelling. Hyunjin preferred a slow paced trip, but Changbin enjoyed adventures.
The shorter male was scanning his eyes over a rack of hoodies when he heard his name being called.
"Yes, Hyunjin-" Changbin turned his head but cut off suddenly upon seeing someone he never expected to see again.
"F-Felix?"
Hyunjin stared at the guy that Changbin called 'Felix'. He looked a lot like the guy in Changbin's wallpaper. What was he doing here?
Time felt like it had stopped for Changbin. All he could focus on was the Australian male just a few feet away from him.
He couldn't believe that he was meeting the person he loved the most but left behind when he migrated. The memories came rushing back, moments that he tried to forget, feelings that he tried to suppress.
Changbin felt faint. Was his mind playing tricks on him? What were the chances they would meet in a foreign country at the same time at the same place?
Thankfully, Hyunjin caught him when he fell towards the floor.
一
Felix was still in shock. Why was fate so cruel to make him meet his ex on a trip where he was meant to forget all thoughts about him? And most importantly, who was that guy who was hugging Changbin's waist?
