"Shit Hyunjin! I'm so sorry. I-I shouldn't have... we shouldn't have. Oh god I'm really really sorry, I should go-" Felix gulped, but Hyunjin chuckling made him stop in his tracks.
Why was Hyunjin laughing when Felix just kissed his boyfriend? Or well, his boyfriend kissed him first but that doesn't matter as Felix reciprocated the kiss.
"Felix, chill. Changbin and I aren't actually dating." Hyunjin admitted.
"Wait... what?" Felix stared back at Changbin who was keeping silent and biting his lip.
Hyunjin cleared his throat, "Changbin here, was just trying to make you jealous so he lied that we were dating. We don't like each other that way, we're just friends. Everything's purely platonic."
Felix's mouth was agape as his eyes went from Changbin to Hyunjin and back again.
"Lied? Jealous?" He questioned.
"I'm really sorry for lying to you." Changbin quickly apologised, grabbing Felix's hand in fear of him getting mad.
But Felix just let out a humorous huff, "I can't believe you went to that extent and even dragged poor Hyunjin along."
"Thank you! Someone sympathises me." Hyunjin threw his hands up in the air and Changbin rolled his eyes.
"You're not... mad?" Changbin's worries were washed away when Felix replied with a "Why would I be? In fact, I'm pretty flattered."
The two smiled shyly at each other until Hyunjin faked gagging and announced, "Okay sorry to interrupt your moment but wrap it up soon please. My parents will be back home anytime." He proceeded to go into his room and shut the door.
"Okay, so let's get some things clear first," Felix began, dragging the 'okay'. "Jungeun and I are no longer together. You and Hyunjin were never a thing?"
Changbin nodded.
"I still love you... do you love me?"
Changbin nodded again, slowly this time as if he was a middle schooler getting shy over admitting to his first crush.
"We can make this work again." Felix smiled happily, hope filling his heart, but his smile faltered when he saw the look on Changbin's face.
"Why? What's wrong?" Felix questioned, anxiety overcoming his whole being.
Changbin looked away, "I just... I'm going back to Japan in a month. Can we really make this last for such a short period of time?"
Felix was about to interrupt when Changbin stopped him, "You know I can't do long distance either." Felix's face fell.
"Then stay. Stay here," The younger pleaded. "Or I'll even move to Japan. Please don't leave me again..."
Changbin was at a war with himself. He had to make a choice. He couldn't make Felix leave Korea just for him either. Changbin had already put him through so much.
But he knew that if he told Felix the real reason for why he left for Japan and why he cant stay in Korea, Felix would be even more heartbroken and insist on staying by his side no matter what.
What mattered more to him? The love of his life or his life itself? Changbin knew his father would never allow him to stay in Korea for Felix. His father had always been disapproving of their homosexual relationship.
"Am I not important to you?" Felix asked, his voice breaking and at that moment, Changbin knew what he had to do.
"I'll stay." He simply said, knowing those two words would have such a large impact later on.
