Justice was such a loosely defined word. I couldn't imagine that my sense of morality even came close to RapMon's. Being surrounded now by the seven leaders of the underground gang, I could almost collectively hear the unanimous agreement to kill me off for being such a nuisance— and this was all because I wanted to eat something besides leftovers from a trash bin.

I hadn't noticed that I was staring at the ground until J-Hope's hand reached out and cupped my chin, raising my head up so I could face them all straight on. I held back from being disrespectful in front of the man who decides if I lived or died and stood still.

"So, did you need money?"

I nodded. RapMon crossed his arms and spoke again. "Don't you have parents that told you not to steal?"

Internally, I scoffed. Was I getting a lecture from a gang leader on not stealing?

"I'm on my own on the streets, so I figured that in order to eat, I'd have to steal," I replied. Jimin smirked at my response and by his reaction, I thought I'd given the right answer until Suga slammed his hands down on the table roughly. I flinched, raising my shoulders instinctively and turning my face away to avoid an oncoming hit. V chuckled.

"Starve then, I don't give a fuck," Suga snarled. At this, RapMon sighed, almost disappointed with his member's lack of manners. The same couldn't be said for the rest of them since they all, in one way or another, seemed to want an end to this unneeded meeting. A life to them wasn't worth much, I supposed. That was unfortunate for me.

"Can't we just toss her out?" Jimin suggested, a shrug following his question. Jungkook glanced over and Jin raised his brows. "I mean, what can she do? It's more work to figure out what to do with her."

My mouth was dry. I licked my lips and tried to avoid fidgeting.

"Suga's just embarrassed he was pick-pocketed by a random girl, that's all this is," V snickered, leaning against Jungkook lazily. Suga growled, bringing his hands off the table with a hard yank but didn't deny it. "C'mon Suga, you know women can do it just as well if not better than men."

I inhaled deeply, unaware of the sudden growing interest spreading across each member. RapMon caught on quickly and rubbed his chin, thinking for a moment before making his way around to me, now much closer than I was comfortable with. Again, my body screamed in warning, all instincts telling me to ram an elbow into the nearest face and to run. The glint of the edge of a gun in V's belt, however, wouldn't let me move.

"So," RapMon hummed, clearly taken by whatever V had announced, "how long have you been on the streets?"

I looked at him and offered my best lie. "All my life."

Jungkook shared a knowing look with J-Hope and I felt my stomach turn, praying they hadn't seen through my words. Luckily, that wasn't the case because RM nodded with a smile, taking a step back to wave Jin over.

"You have two choices here, Miss..." RM let his sentence fall as he waited for my response.

"Y-Y/n," I quickly stuttered out. Fuck, he had a way to make my collected coolness melt. It was intimidation.

"You have two choices here Miss Y/n," he continued. "Either you choose to walk out of here and hope to never see us again, or you do me a small favor."

I blinked. RM genuinely smiled.

"That can't be it," I mumbled, trying to scan any hint of sarcasm or bluff in RapMon's features, but he did a damn good job at hiding his true intentions. Clearly, there was a catch to both options. The trick was to see which one was less dangerous. I could theorize that the favor would keep me alive longer since it benefited them more than just letting me go but... what that favor was, would be the deciding factor.
