You pushed a stray piece of hair behind your ear as you quickly walked into the BAU; Garcia had called less than an hour ago demanding that all of the agents needed to be here in 30 minutes and you were running 20 minutes behind thanks to the traffic on the streets. Which didn't make any sense considering it was nearly 1AM, but as they say there is no rest for the wicked.

"I know, I know!" You said as you sprinted past Garcia into the bullpen, ignoring the look of frustration she gave you. You slid into your seat somewhat gracefully, holding tightly onto your files as you sat down. "I know I'm late Hotch, I'm sorry, I got held up thanks to the damn traffic." You huffed, opening the files in your hand and trying to meet his gaze without seeming flustered.

Hotch pursed his lips and gave you a cold look. "It's fine Y/N, just don't let it happen again." He paused before a rare but genuine smile appeared on his face. "And try not to spill your coffee when you sit down again."

You sat up and realized you had spilled your mug of coffee on the desk and immediately facepalmed; if the team weren't closer to you than most of your family, you would've wanted to run away and hide behind the door. You noticed the rest of the team holding in their laughter as Reid handed you some napkins to clean up your mess. Joining in on their laughter, you cleaned up as much as you could before Garcia strutted in and began giving the case details to everyone.

You heard someone kneel down beside you and your words got caught in your throat; David Rossi. You hated to admit it, but this man made you nervous and made you blush redder than a tomato. He made you smile and laugh harder than you ever thought you could; everyone on the team was aware of your feelings for the older Italian, sadly he was the only one who seemed oblivious enough not to notice, but it was probably for the best and you knew it. He looked at you like another daughter next to the one he already had and was nearly 20 years older than you; nothing could ever happen between the two of you, even though you wished it could.

Rossi gave you a soft smile before beginning to help you clean up; you barely managed a quiet "thank you" before you tried to ignore the fact that he was so close to you. Not even 30 seconds later, the mess was cleaned up and the moment between the two of you had passed, leaving your breathing to go back to normal and your heart rate to decrease.

Grabbing your go bag, you felt Morgan jokingly bump into your shoulder with a soft smirk. "Smooth Y/N, real smooth; your face was redder than a cherry!" He laughed, his chest shaking with his low chuckle as Emily came up beside you as well.

"He's right Y/N! Are you ever going to tell Rossi how you feel?" She pouted as you looked at her with wide, innocent eyes.

"Nope!" You popped the p for emphasis, slinging your go bag over your shoulder and picking up your now empty mug. "I'm like a second daughter to him or a sister if anything; there's no chance for anything to ever happen between him and I so would you please let it go guys?"

"Let what go?" A voice sounded from your right and you jumped slightly to see Rossi standing there with another cup of coffee in his hands. "Two sugars and a cream right?" He asked, holding one of the cups out to you as you tried to hide behind your hair to conceal your obvious blush. (A/N I know not everyone likes their coffee this way but if you don't just pretend it says what you like because I sadly can't read minds :)

"You remember how I like my coffee?" Your voice came out in a high pitched squeak as you shakily took it from his hands.

Derek and Emily smirked at you and fell from your sides, leaving you alone with Rossi as everyone walked towards the jet. He nodded and smiled slightly at your nervousness and all you can think about is running and hiding from his gaze. "So... You worried about the case? It seems to be a pretty bad one," he mentioned casually as the two of you walk side by side.
