BLANKET

Tough it is to sleep in this cold,
Lying alone under the blanket we own,
With nothing to do & no-one to think of,
Except the love I have known.

It's been few months, you left,
For a better place to rest.
My heart was broken, to see you leave,
It took me some time to believe.

We discussed our tombstones,
To be laid side-by-side,
You wanted mine to say, "MRS. ALWAYS RIGHT",
& Yours would say, "I WAS ALWAYS RIGHT".

Right you were my love,
Right you were indeed,
To say I would cry, when you would leave,
To say you would leave this wretched world before me,
And to say you will go to heaven indeed.

Now you lay there all alone,
In that tomb of your own,
With the quote you wanted,
To make people laugh,
If they came to morn you.

And here I am,
Lying all alone,
Under the blanket we own,
Thinking of the Love I have known.
Thinking of the Love I have known.
Thinking of the Love I have known.
