Vivial woke to the sound of the wind blowing throughout the cave, swirling all around, lifting small objects then quickly dropping them. This is how most mornings are; maybe her mother overlooked this wind problem. Or maybe she liked it.
Vivial stood and stretched. Yawning, she stuck her head out of the mouth of the cave and peered around. No sheep. Big surprise, she thought to herself. The little green dragon plodded out onto the ledge, and slid down to the sand. Vivial lifted her head high and searched for a meal. She saw seabirds and crabs. Yay.
Vivial snuck over to the edge of the clans' boundaries, and began to creep slowly around a pelican. The pelican stood on it's rock, looking around for fish. It spotted a nice large fish and swooped upward just as Vivial pounced.
Lukathis found his student, blacked out on a rock, 3 hours later. He lifted her into the air, and flew her back to the cave. "Vivi... Psst! Vivial! Wake up now, this is important!" He whispered into her ear. His student was unresponsive. He set her down, then flew out of the cave to the salt. Lukathis reappeared 5 minutes later, and sprayed water on her, that had been held in his mouth. Vivial sputtered and opened her eyes. "W-what?" was all that left her lips. "Shh! Vivi, you need to get out of here. Now." Lukathis said, terrified. "The clan thinks that you are dead weight, and they are going to try to," He paused and tried to calm himself. "The clan is going to kill you."
Vivial went as still as statue. Her eyes were wide, and she looked like she had seen a ghost. "Luke..." She said quietly, as if she was trying not to be heard, "W-why, why do they want to kill me." Lukathis looked like this was the last question he wanted to answer. "They... are trying to move the clan... because a human was sighted last night... and they think you would slow them down. I tried to tell them you could ride on my back, but they just..." He let loose a long sigh. He didn't have to finish. Vivial had gotten the message. "How do I get away?" She asked a startled Luke. He looked at her in sadness and said, "You would have to fly."
