The tension was thick in the cave that night. Vivial had extracted herself from the others after dinner. She was laying close to the mouth of the cave with her back to Lukathis.
Lukathis was very surprised to find her doing this. He had been extremely worried when she stormed off into the laberenth of tunnels alone. He had hoped she would have forgotten her anger, but she was still furious, and Lukathis guessed that having a small human stab you with a knife wouldn't help your mood. The mountain drake was laying across the fire from Lukathis with a worried look on his face.
"You seem troubled." The drake said quietly, so that if Vivial was awake, she wouldn't hear. "You seem to care very much about that young dragon. Would you care to tell me why?" Lukathis turned and looked at the drake, who continued speaking. "She seems to be strong willed and stubborn and-" Lukathis cut him off. "Vivial is like a hatchling to me, and I would do anything for her. As for being troubled, there is a human in this cave," He used his tail to point at a makeshift cage in the corner. "What if there are more nearby? What if they discover us? We need to release this young one, before they get suspicious!" The drake raised an eyebrow, "You want to release this child into the snowstorm? It would freeze to death in the next few hours. We can't do that."
Lukathis sat up. "I would rather them find this human froze in the snow than with us." He said curtly.
Suddenly a loud thump echoed throughout the cave. Several more followed this one. The sound of an army marching up the snowy cliffs. They had been found by the clan.
Sorry it's short guys (and girls) I just had the idea and it was really short. I'll try to update this story at least twice a month. Sorry if that is a long time, but I have other stories, so yeah. Hope you like it so far. If you do, leave a comment! ;)
