"Pure hell."-Chapter Fourteen

It felt weird.

Everything feels weird.

These last few weeks.

Twenty-seven days and something is odd.

Something is telling me that it's getting closer.

Someone.

Something's not right.

I've been on edge about the whole conversation with Alexander and I feel that someone's watching me.

I make it down the hall and turn right when all of a sudden, an unexpected hand clamped my mouth shut and dragged me down the hall. I was pulled into a room with a bag pulled over my head and was knocked out.

***

I'll find you one day. And when I do, all is going to be right. We're going to make it right. It's all gonna come together in the end.

I was awoken from my dreamy state as a foot connected with the side of my head and I let out a hiss of pain. I looked up to find a guard twice my size standing over me as I sat with my hands tied behind my back and blood dripping from my forehead. I got mad and bit him in the leg and felt my teeth pierce through his skin as blood came out. He fell back and let out a blood-curdling scream. I smiled in triumph but not for too long as the sound of keys rang along the side of the bars to the prison cell.

Then stopped a man in a black tuxedo.

"We've been expecting you for many years, Lyra." The man said with a low rumbling tone. His eyes represented one of the black holes.

Dark and mysterious. "Just not so soon."

"Who are you." I spat growing even angrier while my face represented nothing but no expression what so ever.

"I'm," He began while holding up his left hand,"Your stepfather and leader of the government." He finished with a fear trembling smirk.
