Chapter 2

Stood outside an asparagus green building also known as Mystic Grills is where teenagers and young adult’s hangout while underage vampires compel the workers for free alcohol; Tyler informs me. Once entering the grill, I ordered myself some curly fries and lemonade due to the fact my stomach would not stop rumbling while shopping.

As I took a sip of my lemonade, a guy about my age sat next to me. He had dark brown hair, he had really nice bold brown eyes, tinned red but still pale lips and he had a really skinny figure. He was wearing dark jeans with a black t-shirt compete with a black hoodie and broken down, old and used black converse.

He looked at me with curiosity swimming through his eyes and said in a bold voice “Hi, I’m Jeremy Gilbert, did you come in here with Tyler Lockwood?”

Wow nosey and straight forward.                                   

“I’m Rosie Mikaelson, yes why?” I’ll bet you’re all thinking ‘why do you have the same last name as the most powerful vampire ever’ well because when I was born my mother changed it to her maiden name.

“Just asking, so are you starting school here?” Jeremy asked.

“On Monday I will” I replied.

“Cool, see you on Monday” he said and walked off back to a gang of people who were sitting around the pool table, they all looked at me when Jeremy went back.

Minutes later after I was done with my fries I headed towards Tyler who was sitting with the same gang of people who Jeremy was with; “Hey guys, this is Rosie” Tyler standing up to let me sit down.

I took a seat beside Jeremy while every one of them gives me a funny look; did I have sauce around my mouth?

“Hey, Do I have anything on my face” I asked Jeremy quietly so no one can hear.

“No, you look fine” Jeremy replied laughing.

“Then why are they all staring at me” I asked Jeremy again who was still laughing.

“Hi, I’m Caroline and this is Bonnie” a girl said with light-coloured blonde hair and then pointed to another girl with light brown curly hair.

“Hey” I whispered shyly to them both and looked back at Tyler, “If you don’t mind Tyler, can you please drop me of back at...” I asked but he cut me “yeah don’t worry, give me a minute” Tyler says then walks off.

There was an awkward silent for a second until Caroline opened her mouth “so Rosie, Jeremy told us that you be joining Mystic Fall High?” she asked kindly.

“Erm yeah, on Monday” I reply coolly.

Caroline face lit up “How about you try out for cheerleading? Bonnie, Elena and I are on the team”; I looked at Bonnie who give me a warm smile then I looked back at Caroline “Yeah, sounds fun”.

I looked back at Jeremy until he says “Elena is my older sister” while a warm smile appeared on his face.

Tyler came back with a annoyed look on his face “Is it okay if I pop home for a second first then take you home. My mom needs my help it will only take five minutes promise” he said with an apologetic look now across his face.

I looked at him for a second then back at the others “Yeah that’s fine, nice you meet you all” I said while standing up from where I was sitting.

Tyler and I made our way to the car “shit, I’ll be back in a minute here’s the keys” Tyler says throwing me his car keys then he walked back towards the diner.
