"You can't forget the past but you can look forward to the future, I mean, unless you don't want to."

Phoenix looked at me with his large pupils surrounded by a sea of grey baby looking eyes.

They were dreamy. But at this moment they were annoying, just looking at me. Watching me, waiting for me to break.

"Stop looking at me." I muttered looking ahead and out of the train window. Why did I let him take me on this escapade? There's school today. Phoenix sighed and put his hand on my thigh, the top part of it. "What are you doing?"

"Touching you."

"Why?"

"Because I want to."

I looked down at his hand and then back up to his eyes, shaking my head.

"Fine."

Phoenix smirked and I looked around, noticing the odd stares people were giving us. A few school girls squealed at our slight amount of affection. My eyes glanced down at our uniforms, I wasn't able to make sure I looked neat so the shirt was a little undone along with the tie but Phoenix looked this way on purpose. My head slang back to look at Phoenix some more, I rested my head against the seat.

He was wearing his uniform, just has the top two buttons undone with a necklace dripping down into the abyss of his shirt. My eyes traveled down his gorgeous body and onto the tie he had in his hand, everything else was the same. He looked like a model while I looked like a nerdy slum since I had a vest on.

I heard the girls giggling more.

"They're looking at us like we're cute puppies." I whispered looking up at Phoenix, he smiled and allowed me to lean on him. His voice traveled down to my ear like a stream pouring into a river.

"Well, you're cute so I can see why."

"You need to stop." I said with a slight laugh and a blush on my face. Phoenix chuckled, his chest moving up and down and his warm breath surrounding me.

"I'll stop when you start realizing it." He said kissing the top of my head. I smacked the hand that was still rubbing patterns of triangles and the word lotus on my thigh, causing him to laugh again. He kept his hand on me.

"Stop doing that, we're in public."

"So?"

"If I don't like PDA, I don't want other people to, I don't know. It's just PDA."

"You're adorable."

"Stop with that!" I said feeling full on flustered and embarrassed. He's acting like Damian and Carter when I went to a Sadie Hawkins dance for the first time in my junior year, some girl asked me out and I said yes. Turns out she ditched me at the dance to make out with this other girl.

I was the beard. But I ended up dancing a bit with Carter's delinquent friends and some of the senior friends he has lying around. They pulled me into their group, maybe because Carter didn't go since he was to cool and danced at actual bars and stuff. But his friends started to dance with me, it was all boy and no girls which was nice. Boys are easy. Girls are complicated.

And bossy.

And lesbian from my experience.

"We're here." Phoenix said taking my hand and pulled me out of the crowded L train. We are in downtown, people need to get to work and everything.

I looked at the back of Phoenix, his broad shoulders and intense muscles can be seen from underneath his shirt. My cheeks were still red.

"Where are we going?" I asked skipping up next to him, walking in step.
