"No."

"But Nagisa---"

"I said no, and that's final." Nagisa glared at the two guys who are giving him puppy eyes, not even affected.

"Aw... come on. We want to see how you'll perform your summoning!" Maehara whined, wishing that his friend will kindly let him with what he wanted.

"Me too, Nagisa. And you might need help with us experienced!" His boss tried to reason out. He really want to see how the summoning will go, since knowing that it will be Nagisa performing already made the event a lot more interesting.

"What did I say?" Nagisa let his bloodlust escape his body, making the two squirm and pout at him. He looked away and started fixing the things he already packed. The assignment really wasn't in hurry, he still have three months for it.

"...Okay. But where will you do it?" Korosensei asked. Nagisa stopped and sat on his swivel chair, resounding a squeak from the object as he leaned on it.

"I'm still not sure." He answered thoughtfully. Actually, he didn't really think about it nor minded it. He just want to get this finished.

"Oh, why not the arena? It's big and perfect for summoning!" Maehara excitedly said, only to receive a grunt from the teal haired boy.

"That won't do. It's too big and spacious. It'll have more than enough space to have people watch me." He closed his eyes. "Besides, I don't like noisy places."

Maehara frowned at his failed attempt. He knew Nagisa immediately saw through his plan and sadly, he refused.

"How about the summoning room?"

"I just said I don't like noisy places, right?" Korosensei showed a fake hurt expression with the fast rejection. Nagisa sighed and looked up.

"Hmm...maybe the church will do." This made his two companions turn their heads to him in shock.

"T-The church? Are you sure about that??" Korosensei asked, noticeably not believing Nagisa's statement.

"W-whoa. It's a summoning, dude. Summoning. You do know what it means if you do that ritual inside a church right?" Maehara warily blurted. This really surprised him, knowing that Nagisa isn't the type to stick to one agreement. Sure, most of summoning are permanent and everlasting. But doing it inside a church? It was like doing a sacred marriage to your partner!

Nagisa raised an eyebrow, looking confused to their weird reactions.

"What's wrong with that? Wasn't summoning traditionally held in churches? If I'm doing a summoning then I might as well do it right." It is true. Summoning were done in churches. But apparently, someone discovered that they can summon demons in other places, and it's less formal than on church.

"But Nagisa, you'll be completely bound to your partner! I thought you don't like the idea of having a demon always sticking beside you?" Korosensei interrupted. Nagisa squinted his eyes and leaned forward.

"So you're telling me that after the assignment, I'll just break the contract and be free?" Nagisa asked in an amused tone, before smirking and laying his head back to the chair. "You just gave me an amazing idea, Korosensei!"

The two's eyes widened at what Nagisa said. They looked down with guilt written on their faces. A master breaking a contract with a demon is like someone divorcing his or her partner. It'll leave a painful scar on the pitiful demon since once summoned, a connected string will automatically attach to the both of them. Actually, the connection was already done even before the ritual takes place. The two were lost to their thoughts when they heard Nagisa say something.

"I won't do that." Korosensei and Maehara turned their heads to see Nagisa looking out the window, a distant look in his eyes. "I won't break a contract nor leave my demon behind." And then he looked at them, a sad smile forming on his delicate face.

"I know how it feels to be left."

That statement just added more confusion to the two, for they barely knew the boy's past. And even if they wanted to ask him, they got that feeling that'll be pointless.

Nagisa looked at his watch and saw that it's already 6 in the evening. He sighed and went to the door.

"Korosensei, Maehara, I'll be leaving first. I still have to prepare for the ritual this midnight." He said and walked out. The two stood there stunned, before realization hit them.

"T-this midnight??!!"

It was already 11:39 when Nagisa looked at his watch. He really didn't need to prepare anything for the summoning, just his house for his new guest. And also, he may or may not prepared himself for this.

'It's my first time summoning a demon...' He thought, but then sighed.

"And of course, it'll be the last." He mumbled and called his car to drive off to a church hidden in the woods.

The church which wasn't known by anyone. The church that held the memories and emotions he had.

He went inside and took notice of everything. The place was neat and looking new, despite the fact it was already abandoned 10 years ago. Of course, he's the one who maintained it.

He walked towards the altar, where the table has been moved and stared at the marble floor. Usually, summoners needed some chalk or anything to write. But for him, it wasn't necessary.

Once again, Nagisa sighed and scratched his chin.

'Well, here goes my peaceful life.'

A few moments later, his face became serious and he raised his arm. With his palm facing the floor in front of him, the wind around him grew stronger as he spoke out his spell.

"Open thou portal from hell,
Lay out thy stair from below to heaven.
Under thy name, I call out to you.
Offer thou soul and body to me.
Appear yourself, I order thee!" Nagisa's eyes started glowing to a bright blue shade, and a big blue circle started to draw itself on the floor. Later then, a smaller one appeared inside and letters in another language surfaced. Lines stroked out, showing a double star as they connected to each other. When the magic circle was finished, a blinding blue light brightened the dark colored space. Nagisa wasn't fazed by it, though squinted his eyes a bit in curiosity what will happen next.

A sudden prick on his finger made him wince, though didn't left his position. He watched as a drop of blood fell from his pointer finger towards the blue magic circle. As soon as the crimson liquid touched the floor, the area where it dropped turned the writings to red, until it reached the biggest circle. After another glow, it turned to purple and the wind grew stronger.

And then, a red headed figure appeared in the middle of sacred circle.
