Chapter 12 (Beatrix)

Beatrix look at Python's house, and tapped her fingers on her knees. She look at Bast and notice her texting someone. Beatrix got out of the car and walked to his door, hearing Bast following her. Bast banged on the door, making Beatrix think of her aunt Buttercup. Beatrix knew Bast doesn't want to be compared to her but somehow that only made her more like Buttercup.

"What?" Python said.

He opened the door amd Beatrix jumped. Yeah, she knows that Python is a shapeshifter like his mother. Yet this made him look even scarier than his usual look. His hair is different lengths and looked like a kid colored his hair. His skin was blotchy and bloodshot eyes. Python tattoos look dimmer and he didn't seem to hold up his weight, leaning against his door frame.

"We need to talk." Bast said as she crossed her arms.

"About Barty." Beatrix added.

Python eyes watered and Bast elbowed her stomach. Python nodded slowly and Beatrix heard Dark Paradise blaring. Which made her think of Bartholomew, annoyance swelled in her chest. Already hating how much they love each other but won't admit they need each other.

"What about him?" Python asked.

"No, I wanna know about Apollo." Bast said.

Python looked at her, "Why?"

"Because Benjamin thinks I'm crazy! I know something fishy about Apollo." Bast yelled.

"I don't know anything about him." Python snapped.

"Look, I know that you guys may have some history. But Bast is right. Something is off about Apollo, and we want to know more about him." Beatrix said.

"Apollo has a mind of his own. You never know what he's going to do." Python said as he put his head against thr door frame.

"Who's his parent?" Beatrix asked.

"Femme Fatale." Python whispered.

"She had sons?" Bast asked.

"Yes. Apollo is her youngest, but unless your a female she doesn't care. She only has one daughter but ten sons." Python said.

Beatrix blinked and glanced at Bast, seeing she was surprised as herself. Beatrix chewed on her bottom lip and Python sighed, shaking his awful colored hair.

"Apollo is the third most powerful child of Femme Fatale. And always out shinned by his sister. Apollo loves causing trouble and he can't lie." Python hissed.

"Wait, he can't lie?" Beatrix asked.

"No." Python said.

"Then you really cheated on Bartholomew!" Bast yelled.

"I didn't! I never would!" Python snapped.

"Then how Apollo said that? I thought he can't lie." Beatrix said.

"Just because he can't lie doesn't mean he knows to twist up the truth. I used to date Apollo but that was because I wanted someone. Apollo knew I wanted that, so he used his power against me. But I would never cheat on Bartholomew. I like him to much." Python said.

"Fine, whatever, but what is Apollo's power? Telling the truth is it?" Bast asked.

"No, that's only part of it. Apollo can make you see whatever you want or need. He could bend something you care about and ruin it, he had enough time to make it perfect for him." Python said.

Beatrix look at Bast who nodded. Python blink and stared forward, Beatrix felt her phone buzz. But Beatrix was rhinking to hard to notice. Who would want Python and Bartholomew break up? Did Bartholomew really see Python as a cheater? Or did someone else see him as that?

Beatrix sighed as she opened her locker, tired from last night. Benjamin and Brick got into more fights, Boomer wouldn't look at Benjamin or her and Bast had her stay up all night to find out more about Apollo. And they found nothing! Just more questions.

Beatrix look over and saw Camilla walked from her class. Her messy choppy brown hair flow around her, making Beatrix think of a princess.  Beatrix blinked and closed her locker, she tried walking away but she got slammed against the lockers.

"Argh!" Beatrix exclaimed.

She looked down and saw her jacket was caught. Beatrix groaned but a laugh made her look up. Camilla laughed and rolled her eyes at Beatrix. Beatrix's face turned a bright red and gave her a small smile.

"I think I'm stuck." Beatrix said.

"You think? Oh Trixie, what would you do without me?" Camilla said.

Beatrix smiled, "I don't wanna think about that."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't wanna think about losing you. I can't be without you."

"Trixie, I will always br with you."

"How will I know that? What if you ditch me next week or something terrible happens."

Camilla grabbed her shoulders, "Beatrix, I will never leave your side. I promise you."

Camilla took off her necklace and put it around Beatrix's neck. Beatrix gasped and felt her face turn hot. Camilla cupped her cheeks and smiled.

"With this necklaxe, you will always know that I'll be by your side." Camilla said.

"Thanks Cam." Beatrix replied.

Camilla smiled and turned away, holding on Beatrix hand. They walked but Beatrix jacket pulled her back. Camilla laughed and quickly opened her locker.

"Silly." Camilla said.

They walked to their class and Beatrix never felt so happy before.
