I walked into school with my hoodie over my face. There was a bruise on the side of my face from last night. The bruises are usually more discreet cause my dads not dumb but he know when he slips up I'll make sure nobody sees the bruise or else.I'd make sure nobody saw it to questionme about it. (I'm alive so I endure) I thought to mysel.
I walked through the hallway with my head down avoiding eye contact as usual.
"Ayo dezzy!!" I heard nahmir call from behinde me. I walked a little faster trying to avoid him. This new found somewhat friendship of mine might cause me some problems I thought.
"Destiny I know you heard me" nahmir said turning me to him.
"How did you know it was me?" I asked without looking at him.
"You the only person I know wear a fucking hoodie in summer" he laughed.
"Okay I gotta go" I said walking away from him.
"Wait where you going shawty" he said stepping infront of me lookin somewhat concerned.
"How come you ain't lookin at me" he said offended.
"Nahmir I can't talk right now" I said walking around him.
"I ain't wanna talk to yo ugly ass anyway" he said with attitude and walking away from me. I'd bruised his ego I thought.
I quickly walked to class avoiding everyone. Ironicly nahmir was the only person to recognize me and I made it to class unoticed.
I sat in the back as usual. I kept my head down not looking at anyone who entered the room.
"Wassup dezzy" I heard Jay say. I looked up a little to see him and nahmir sitting down.
"Wassup jay" I said looking back down.
"Why you talking to her fake ass" nahmir said.
Jay furrowed his eyebrows at nahmir.
"I forgot I changed my seat" I said standing up. I know when I'm not wanted and I'm not about to sit their while nahmir throws a bitch fit.
I stood up and picked up my backpack.
"Wait" Jay grabbed my wrist and before I could stop myself noticeably winced in pain. He immediately let go.
"Sorry..." he said awkwardly and confused . I shook my head at him. I walked out of class heading to the bathroom.
Everybody was already in class so the hallway was empty. I walked into the bathroom and wet a paper towel. I had to hurry beacause if I'm marked absent Or late thats my ass.
I walked out of the bathroom still wiping the blood from my wrist.
"Des-" I pulled down my sleeve quickly.
"What was that" nahmir said grabbing my arm.
"Nothing damn leave me alone" I said snatching my arm away from him.
"That ain't nothin" he said grabbing my arm again.
"Nahmir let go" I said. He ignored me and pulled up my sleeve revealing the fresh cuts i gave myself yesterday.
There was a heavy silence.
"Why would you do that" nahmir said in a low tone.
"I have my reasons" I said taking my arm fron him.
"Don't do it again" he said stopping me.
"Nahmir I need you to leave me alone okay"
"Hell no destiny you could seriously hurt yourself" he said.
