"It's not what we have in life but who we have in our lives that matters."

"Done already?" Emmett teased the newlywed couple, a smirk pulling at Bella's lips. Freshly turned, married, and with a baby, the woman couldn't be happier. But there was an underlying problem, deeper than the fact that soon the girl would become dead to her family, they would relocate. Her cousin had disappeared off the face of the earth and despite no one admitting it, they were worried.

They got a letter that was supposedly saying she needed to make a trip to South America because one of her old pack mates ran off and that was the end of it. Her phone went right to voice mail and no one had talked to her since. They couldn't even get in contact with any of her old pack mates.

Bella decided to ignore Emmett's teased, her gaze going to the large window. "Where's Renesmee?" She asked about her newborn daughter and Jake turned from where he was looking out the window as well.

"Blondie stole her." Jake pouted like a child.

"Break a lot of stuff?" Emmett inquired and Jake smirked, his gaze leaving the baby.

"Emmett," Bella warned with a teasing smile. "No."

They chuckled, abruptly cut off when the phone rang. It brought down the mood of the room considerably as they all turned somber, smiles dropping.

Bella stepped forward, her face sad and her brows drawn together. "Is that Charlie?"

"He's been calling twice a day," Edward answered.

"He's in pretty rough shape," Jake added, the new vampire looking ready to cry.

"Eventually we'll have to tell him you didn't make it," Carlisle explained, the girl looking horrified with the idea as her mate came up behind her, his hand resting on the small of her back.

"He needs to mourn, Bella," Edward said and Bella nodded reluctantly.

"Okay, we'll do it tomorrow." She said, moving back to hold Edward's hand.

Emmett set the newspaper on the table and stood. "I'm gonna miss this place." He sighed as Jake turned, his interest peaked.

"We'll come back, we always do." Carlisle comforted, seeming unbothered by the information.

"Wait," Jake protested, stepping away from the window. "Nobody said anything about leaving."

"Once people believe Bella's dead we can't risk anyone seeing her," Carlisle explained patiently as Jake face contorted.

"So you just disappear?" Jake demanded, adding to Bella's guilt as she looked out the window at her daughter.

"Jacob we don't have another choice," Edward argued and the shifter huffed.
