Jasper clung to her like a lifeline, his tight grip making it hard to breathe but she had no quarrel with it. Allie had been waiting for that moment for too long. She had been waiting to be reunited with the love of her life for far too long.
He kissed her roughly, all of his pent up worries leaking away with the simple action. Allie wrapped her arms around his neck, closing the remaining distance.
She didn't know how long they stood there, only that they reluctantly pulled apart when Bella cleared her throat.
After a tight hug from her cousin, Allie pulled away, glancing at Vidar. "Pile up the bodies. We need to burn them. Two separate holes. One for the guard, one for our own." Allie glanced at Alec who was hunched over his sister's body. "Jane goes with ours but don't take her until he's ready," Allie ordered and Vidar nodded sharply, turning to the vampires behind him.
Benjamin, the young Egyptian who controlled the elements, dropped to his knees, digging his hands into the Earth. His face was smooth and he looked generally peaceful as a smooth slab of grey stone broke free from the Earth.
Slowly but surely, names were carved into it in perfect cursive. One by one they appeared in the stone, Jane included, before two small flowers appeared at the bottom and Benjamin stood, smiling softly.
"For those, we've lost." He said as Tia, his mate, leaned into his side and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
Allie embraced Vidar briefly but firmly. "The world is a lot different now. It will be difficult to situate yourself."
"I learn quickly," Vidar said with a cheeky grin and Allie smiled softly.
She recited her phone number to him, knowing that would be all it took for him to remember. "Call me when you learn how to use a phone." She requested and he grinned once more before he disappeared.
Alec was already gone and while Allie was rather disappointed she didn't get a goodbye, she understood why.
"I need to tell Leah and Jared's families. I'll probably use the animal attack excuse for Jared's parents. At least they'll have each other." Allie said solemnly, glancing at Sam. "It's the least I can do. They should have never been dragged into this."
"They knew what could happen. You're family and we always fight for family." Sam said, embracing Allie tightly.
"Let's go back to the Cullen's house. I think you all deserve an explanation." Allie said finally and Garrett glanced at Kate, smirking at his mate.
"I wanna hear this."

"Renesmee?" Allie echoed as she stared at her niece. "That's unique." She finally said and Bella grinned. Jasper's hand was intertwined with hers and she knew he was terrified she'd leave again.
