Alec told her of their leaving the day before.  According to him, it was winter and Christmas had passed once again.  He was nervous, not knowing if she'd make it out, but what he didn't know was that her plan was already in motion.

She waited twelve hours exactly, knowing by then the army the Volturi amassed within their ranks would already have left the country, and it would put her exactly far enough behind them that she'd make it to the battlefield just in time.

Alec didn't know what her plan was and it put him on edge, but on the off chance Aro checked his memory, he couldn't know.  Allie bit into her wrist for the last time, letting her blood leak into the tin cup, dried remains of her blood from months prior crusting the edges.

Vidar was already waiting, his hand outstretched, already waiting.  He took it and she could hear him drinking as she retracted, waiting.

With a thunderous boom and a cloud of dust erupting, Allie saw the entire front of Vidar's cell hit the opposing side.  He was in front of her in a blur, hands wrenching the bars apart so she could climb through.

The first wave of guards hit the two like bullets, and while Allie was itching to shift, she couldn't due to the close quarters.

Bending down to the nearest guard's body, Allie wrenched a set of keys from his belt and tossed them to Vidar.  She had never seen him before and his appearance was rather shocking.

He was over six foot with short cropped hair.  He looked to have been turned in his twenties and had bulging muscles.

"Unlock everyone.  Get the cationic ones up.  Tell them they'll be fed soon enough."  Allie ordered and he looked unsure as he fiddled with the keys.

"They can wait, you need back up."  Vidar attempted to dismiss but Allie refused to let him, cracking her knuckles with an insane smirk.

"Don't worry, I've got this."  She turned on her bare heel, skin slapping against the cool cement as she slammed open the iron door that withheld her from the outside world for so long.

She looked like a goddess, her skin colored with dirt and blood, hair sticking out like a dark halo.  But the most frightening thing was her hazel eyes, sparkling even in light of the occurring events.

Allie had never felt the killing calm before or even saw it, she didn't even think it was real and neither did they.  But it was real.  The killing calm was the point when your hands stopped shaking, your eyes stopped watering, and the adrenaline didn't put you on edge or hyperfocus.  Instead, you weren't aware of what you were doing, your body moved on its own accord and instinct.

Bursting from her clothes and her body, the minute four paws hit the floor she howled like a wolf.  The panther, that animalistic part of her never got to grieve it's pack mates, and suddenly it was avenging them.

She snarled, leaping at the closest vampire and ripping its head clean from its shoulders.  Her mind didn't register the pain she got from it.  It was like when you accidentally bit too hard on your fork and it sent an unwanted shiver down your back.

She had already killed ten when the iron door slammed open once more and vampires began to spill from it.

The thirty guard members left behind were no match for the eighty the Volturi imprisoned.

When she was sure ever last guard member lay in pieces, she shifted, not caring she was naked and not feeling the slightest bit of unease at the eager volcanic ash eyes on her, not looking in lust, but searching for her direction.

"We all know what the Volturi has done to us.  To our families.  It has lasted too long and it's time we get our revenge.  Feed.  Leave not a citizen of Volterra alive.  Change your clothes.  The day has come and after every member of the Volturi dies you may roam free.  We will meet at the entrance to the city and I'll lead you from there."  Allie commanded, her voice booming as Vidar turned to her abruptly, his brows furrowing, but he didn't question her motives, instead, he followed out his fellow former captives to get their fill of human blood.

Screams echoed the instant the vampires entered the city, but Allie was preoccupied with another task.  She used the spilled venom of the dead in place of gasoline, soaking every single room and creating a trail to the door that lead in.

No one would ever step foot in the Volturi's empire ever again and she would make sure.  Striking the match abruptly against its case, Allie watched as a bright yellow flame erupted on the tip.

She let it clatter to the ground, a much bigger, hotter flame devouring the trail she left.  The Volturi burned in a matter of moments.  Black smoke curled, tainting the ivory towers and bringing them crashing down in harmony with the pained screams of the citizens, attempting to flee the hungry vampires.  They never made it far.

Allie stood in front of the burning Volturi, accepting the pile of clothes Vidar handed to her.  She dressed, black jeans and a forest green long sleeve paired with a leather jacket and black boots.

"Did you get your fill?  There won't be another place to hunt until after the battle."  Allie asked and Vidar nodded once.  She knew he had too much humanity to kill more than necessary, unlike the ravenous vampires who had starved for so long that the second the blood hit their tongue they drank their fill and then some.

"Allie, these people did nothing wrong.  Why would you order them to kill an entire city?"  Vidar asked, his voice not accusing but instead it was curious.

"I'm making sure they have nothing left to return to.  I will tear this place down brick by brick if I have to."
