i sit on a bench watching as lola tried to win a purple and blue fish. i sigh with a small smile on my face.
that fish gon fucking die.
knowing lola she gon truly to feed it human food, or maybe forget to feed it at all. i can only squint my eyes as i see her start milly rocking before taking the fish. i couldn't help but peep that the dude that gave her the fish was staring at her.
it wasn't until she came and sat me and was showing me her fish did i look at him and simply cock an eyebrow making me him sigh.
"imma make my lil nigga cornelius, ya feel me. he gon be the flyest fish in the complex" she said holding him up.
"ya know what's crazy. fish can't fly" i said before holding onto my stomach laughing at my own joke.
"i hate you" she said, but couldn't help let out a few giggles her damn self.
damn i'm hilarious.
"we have been here for 2 damn hours." i said before looking at her.
"you tryna go to the pet store and buy some fish food and maybe get ourselves some food?" i asked an as soon as i said that i regretted it.
"nigga ion eat fish food" she said making herself laugh. i just blink shaking my head in the process.
"but, ong where there's prolly not gon be no pet store open" she said again a couple giggles coming out.

we stood in a pet store, me with a smirk on my face as lola looking in the pet store in awe. "this place big as shit" she mumbled as we walked around cornelieus in the little cup in her hands as we search for the fish food.
out of the kindness of my heart, we didn't bet any money.
we began looking for the fish food and eventually it was just me looking for it cause lola was distracted by the puppies. she pressed her head to the glass with tears almost in her eyes. the glass separating them had holes in. one of the puppies lifted its paw and touched her forehead.
she fell out.
"we don't deserve dogs bro" she said almost crying. she looked at cornelius before sniffing.
"i still love you c" she said looking at him in her hand.
"i promise when i get my life together i will come back for you" she said closing her eyes.
i raised one eyebrow an idea pondering before getting my phone out and putting it in my notes and putting my phone up.
i walk to where she is still lying and stand above her my legs on either side of her. "come on we still gotta find the fish food." i said shaking me head. she nodded and sat up.
"can i, by any chance get on your back" she said still sitting on the floor.
"oh babe. you act like you have to ask" i said shaking my head and turning around. as to be expected, she got on my back and we eventually found the fish food.
