Mermaid Tom x reader i guess

Okay so I'm going to force myself to keep writing because I love all of you and I got an idea so also I'm still in the community

Darker. Darker. Darker. It never seemed to end. That had to be the least of my problems. I felt a liquid surround me and the farther I fell the more it hurt. It wasn't a burning sensation, it was a large amount of pressure. I tried getting a breath of air. Water filled my lungs and it started burning. No matter the struggle nothing worked. Then it hit me like a rock. I was drowning. The realization was painful and it made me cry. The longer I cried the more I felt my air leaving me. My struggled slowly ceased as I accept my fate. My struggles had completely vanished as I started to black out, loosing feeling in my fingers and toes. The water had made me cold but my struggling had kept me warm but now that I was still I was cold. My eyes we're open a sliver when a ray of pure light struck my eyes practically blinding me. My eyes shut as a reaction and as I have fully black out.

I wake up and scream, but it's not as loud as I thought it would be. I open my eyes and look around, I'm still under water, and I take a deep breath only I'm not choking.
I can breathe underwater? I look around and down at my legs, which were thankfully not fins, because I thought I had turned into a mermaid. I looked around and saw a man, with no eyes, brown hair and a blue tail. He seemed angry. I moved a little. It felt like I had a platform under me, yet I didn't. I started walking and I accidentally bumped into the angry man.
"Oh, sorry I didn't see you there" I said blushing a little. He didn't seem angry for much longer, he looked confused.
"How are you not dead?" He asked, looking at your legs "you're human." He said
"Yes. I am confused as well." You said, walking. He motioned for you to follow him. You were hesitant at first, but when you didn't move, it felt like the man rolled his eyes. So you followed him.
You eventually reached a few others and waved. One had brown hair, brown eyes and his tail was green. The other one had orange hair,  blue eyes and a purple tail.
You were confused. "Wait, how many of there are there?" You asked, not sure of what answer you'll get.
"These are my friends. Except for that one." He said, pointing at one with caramel hair, grey eyes and a red tail. He seemed distant so you didn't bother with him.
The one with the blue tail looked at you "I'm Tom." He said. He then pointed at the green tailed one "Yhat one is Edd." He pointed at the purple tail one. "That ones... Matt." He whisperer to you "He's not the brightest." You giggled
Matt spoke "hey, I heard that!" He said. You just giggled
"It's okay, I'm sure you're smart."
Tom shook his head. "No, he's really not." He said, and Edd chuckled.
"So, you have legs, so I'm guessing you're human. How'd you get here?" He asked. You shrugged and Tom spoke up
"We don't really know. She just... Fell from the top of the water" You nodded in agreement. You don't remember much before this except drowning.
"I was drowning before I got here, maybe that helps." You said. Edd and Matt looked at each other. Tom looked at them and put a finger to his lips. You didn't know what was going on. No one said anything. "What's going on?" You asked. Edd motioned you to follow him, so you did.
"Well, since you didn't breathe underwater previously, to pass on breathing underwater, a mermaid must kiss an air breathing creature. So, Tom had to have kissed you." He said to you.
You blushed "oh." Was all you said.
