Thank you to whoever read this story. It's the first one I've ever actually finished. If you liked this story I've already started on the sequel. So uh. I guess this is goodbye for now. See ya.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Closing my eyes to the sound of gunfire.
Uttering a roar.
In a flash I am switched into despair.
Everything for the one who lives inside the nightmare.
Missing from the bottom of my heart.
Wishing the world that ran out of tears.
The heart is already dead.
The hope.
Missing until it hurts
Oh, what's that? You want to know what's on the flash drive she got from Otacon? Well, ok, if you insist. Double epilouge.
Actually, you know what? No. Kojima wouldn't just throw in a convenient explanation for everything in a character's past so neither will I. Although I'm sure there are a few people who already read that part. Well it's gone now, so there!
Although, I will explain a few things.
Yes, yes, I know "What was that crap with Ocelot's death?" I had to create a few loose ends for Storm to tie up. And yes, I know this story was flawed beyond belief, but I'm working on it.
I will eventually release Storm's full origin and why that 'Serpent Lady' seemed to hate Ocelot despite the fact that he was a Patriot himself.
But that comes later.
Much later.
For now, take this.
~A Few Months Later~
Raiden looks for her everywhere, but he can't find her. Finally, he checks the last place that he should have looked in first; the roof. Storm is sitting on the highest point, gazing up at the sky. He approaches slowly, trying to think of comforting words just in case they're needed.
"Storm." He calls her name even though he's sure she's already aware of his presence. "...yeah." he can tell by her voice that her mind is somewhere else. "You okay?" He checks, sitting down next to her. She says nothing.
Instead, she holds up a piece of paper. "What's this?" he asks as he takes it "...Hal took it. When we found REX."
He studies the picture and sees her standing by REX's legs, gazing up at the huge structure. But as he looks closer, he sees a tall, faded figure standing by her side, resting a hand on her shoulder. With a bit more scrutiny, he recognizes the figure to be Gray Fox.
"Your father!..." he trails off in amazement.
He gives her back the picture and she stares at it as she speaks quietly "When Dave and I were fighting Screaming Mantis in the command center of Outer Haven, the ghost of Psycho Mantis appeared. He was talking about writing and authors. But when he disappeared, I could have sworn I saw a dark, hooded figure standing on the balcony behind him."
"The Sorrow." "Yeah. But....I also heard someone speak. And I'm sure it wasn't Psycho Mantis or...Dave." "What did they say?"
"'The spirit of the warrior will always be with you.'"
I am the oncoming Storm.
The watcher in the shadows.
I fight to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
But I still hold rage within.
I do not forgive.
I do not forget.
I am Darkness.
