{Section 5 Serenity}

I made it back to the lander with the pod strapped on the back of the storage hauler, I got out of the rover cut the ties and the pod fell to the ground, I grabbed the fuel tank from the lander got in the pod and started to mod the pod to be able to handle such fuel. All the tinkering reminded me of what I did back on earth, nI was an engineer, fixing broken down cars and stuff like that, only the basic stuff though, nothing as big as Deven does, I was always much more curious on how the world work which is why I was placed in research for something like this.

It was probably hours before I managed to get the pod operating. But when I did I immediately ran back into the lander and got the communications working. But nothing was answering, no body was responding. I began to panic I didn't know what could've happened to them, I need them to answer, I flicked the glowing button time, and time again.

I went onto the outside on the lander, I began to climb up to the top, pulling myself up onto the oddly shaped roof, I looked at the antena it wasnt out of place everything was completely stationary. I went back inside and started, refreshing the signal. Nothing was working, if I wanted to make it back I was on my own. I opened up ship to lander map it was about 1-3 minutes until the lander was lined up with the station meaning I had to leave now.

I grabbed a pressure suit, I grabbed the door handle of the pod, I took a deep breath, if I was really going to do this my life would hang in the balance. I pulled open the pod door, I got into the cramped cockpit. The cold leather of the chair sent chills down my spine or that was the nervousness of being here. I looked over at the primary ignition switch, I flicked it. I was suddenly overwhelmed by the mount of force pressed against me, I blasted forward, the power of the atmosphere slamming against the pod.

I looked out into the giant window on the roof of the pod, I saw the half of Lightspeed I was on, just seeing it brought back horrifying memories, the silence the eere quite. Sent chills to my spine just thinking about it. I looked closer I saw a light flickering light from the oppositely visible side of the ship and what I saw sent fear to my mind. The command center was burning. The flames blazing as a light in the darkness of space, like a flare in a dense forest. Thoughts were rushing through my head, none of which were good.

I flicked the SAS switch to stabilize the pod for a safe landing. The pod was approaching the docking bay. It was nerve wracking, one wrong move I could send the entire ship flying back down to the planet killing me and my teammates. Sweat trickled down my face, the pod suddenly felt much warmer.I felt like at any moment i could faint. The pressure of the situation only raised as my mind continuously thought ways this could all go terribly wrong.

I wouldn't let my fear get the best of me. I adjusted the pod to clasp onto the docking gate, I waited then I heard the sealing of the clamps to the pod. The clicked made the job around 50% easier. The sweat slowed down, my heart no longer felt like an earthquake and I began to calm myself down. I hopped up and pressed the door release button it made some weird noises, a stress alert showed on the pod door console.

I jumped as I heard tons of banging on the door, and then next thing I know a loud blast hit the door and the docking terminal of the station was sent flying through space, I was sent across the pod crashing into the command console as everything went dark.
