{Section 4 Life}

I closed the lander door and walked down the latter. All of the food supplies farming materials, everything I would need was right here, that is if it works. I also had the inflatable and buildable part of the H.A.B. So I immediately got to work. The H.A.B. was like an oversized lego set, though it didn't come with instructions. If it came down to building it you had better hope you remember your training.

I finished the floor structure pretty easily t the inflatable did the work itself. It would take awhile so I thought I would do some exploring. I walked around the Island we landed on for a bit. I walked down the hill I was on and looked under the cliff we landed on. There was a cave. It had a waterfall flowing over it. I walked over to the mouth of the cave, and walked through the waterfall, the water drenching my body.

As I walked in I clipped my foot on something hard. I activated my flashlight on the shoulder of my suit, it was a crystal, a bright red crystal. I went to grab it. As soon as my hand made contact with the glimmering rock it instantly, changed color. It was now Blue. I looked up there was an abundance of them on the walls on the ceiling some of the water from the waterfall was coming through the ceiling making a miniature water fall, making the crystals glitter, I rubbed my hand against the crystal walls, they all began changing their colors.

The mix of colors was incredible, I had the camera on my suit recording. I looked around some more, I grabbed one of the crystals, gripped it, and pulled. I heard a crack and two, and three and then it came right out. It was continuously changing colors, I think it reacts to my thermal heat, and by that changes color. I grabbed it and went to walk out. The very second it was exposed to the lights of the outside just burned out all its color. And was now basically a charred rock. This planet didn't cease to amaze me.

It was the second day. I had planted an entire farm, which was nearly ready to harvest thanks to the planets weird botanical life. I sat down and began to map this solar system. I needed a name. The Gargantua system seemed a bit obnoxious, the Valerian system seemed way to important. But then it hit me, Asher system. It was my last name, but I was the first person to map it. So I decided that would work.

I decide to name this planet ______ it described it because it was the second biggest planet in this solar system. I came up with a more scientific name for the sun V-c28. This sun was unlike anything I had ever seen. It had a ring made up of something unknown. The main star however, was a glowing white with a hint of blue. I was a whopping 11,365 degrees celsius. And it was nearly 5x bigger than the sun of our solar system. Or at least that's what Lightspeed measured it.

I began to label and measure the different planets. I looked around the lander, I saw a lot of junk around, and then a flashing light caught my attention, there was a holo disc in the port. I grabbed it pulled it out and plugged it into the primary computer. It was a video message. I pressed play. And it was my family.

"Hey Cameron!" said everyone. Half of them were in tears, the other half looked like they wanted to stay strong.

"We all wanted to give you this to tell you that we are so proud of you!" Said my grandma sniffing.

"Yeah, honey I cant believe how far you have come and how far your going!" said my mom.

"We are glad you're doing something you love, and we really hope that everything goes good, we want you to remember in life, or death we lov-"

They were cut off by the message completely ending. I sat down, a million thoughts rushing through my head, infinitely racing I wanted to just lay somewhere and cry. Just cry all my problem away. That was the first time I heard the voices of my family in about 12 years. I couldn't believe I haven't heard about this message being a thing, why wouldn't they have told me? The whole thing seemed sketchy but I kind of had to attempt to ignore it for now.
