Chapter 7: First Day Of School

Skylar's POV
The Next Morning

Beep!
Beep!
Beep!

"Ugh!" I groaned waking up, slamming my hand down on my alarm clock.

I sighed quickly hopping in the shower and got ready.

Once I finished I heard a honk outside and headed out the front door with Dad.

"Heard you guys coming all the way down the road." Dad said shaking Billy's hand as I gave Jacob a hug.

"Good to see you." Billy smiled as I gave him a hug when Bella walked up.

"Bella you remember Billy Black. He was at dinner yesterday." Dad said.

"Yeah." Bella nodded shaking Billy's hand. "Looking good."

"Well, I'm still dancing." Billy smiled. "I'm glad you girls are finally here. Charlie hasn't shut up about it since you told him you two were coming."

"Alright, keep exaggerating." Dad rolled his eyes. "I'll roll you into the mud."

"After I ran you in the ankles." Billy laughed going after him.

"You wanna go?" Dad said putting his fists up playfully.

"Yeah!" Billy challenged. "Bring it."

"Hey, I'm Jacob. Skylar's cousin." Jacob introduced himself to Bella with a smile. "We all used to make mud pies when we were little."

"No, I remember." Bella smiled. "Are they always like this?"

"Getting worse with old age." Jake and I said at the same time.

"Jinks!!!" I stated punching Jake in the shoulder causing Bella to laugh as Jake tried to mess up my hair.

"So, whatcha think?" Dad asked leaning against the truck.

"Of what?" Bella asked.

"Your homecoming present." Dad said causing me to smile. I'm glad Bella finally has a car now. But I'll have to ride with her until my car and bike get here in a couple days.

"This?" Bella asked shocked.

"Just bought it off Billy here." Dad nodded.

"Yep." Billy smiled.

"I totally rebuilt the engine for you." Jake added.

"Come on. Oh, my gosh! This is perfect!" Bella exclaimed opening the car door hitting Jacob on accident. "Are you joking me? Oh, sorry."

"I told you she'd love it." Billy smirked. "I'm down with the kids."

This caused me to chuckle.

"Yeah, dude. Your the bomb." Dad said sarcastically.

"You gotta double-pump the clutch when you shift, but besides that, you should be good." Jacob instructed Bella.

"Alright." Bella nodded. "Do you want a ride to school or something?"

"Oh, I go to school on the reservation." Jacob informed.

"Oh, right." Bella sighed. "That's too bad. It would've been nice to know one person."

"Hey! What am I? Chopped liver?!" I complained.

"Yes! Your a complete nuisance." Bella joked.

"You wound me Bells, you really wound me." I faked hurt, then we burst into laughter.
