The Next Day
The next day the boys picked us up after Charlie left for work. Once we arrived at the Cullen house, Edward and Emmett opened up our doors like the gentleman they are.
When Bella and I walked into the house, to say we were shocked was an understatement.
"Woah." Bella gasped.
"She's right, this is incredible." I agreed.
"It's so light and open." Bella nodded.
"What did you expect?" Emmett teased taking my hand. "Coffins, dungeons, and moats?"
"Not the moats." Bella blushed embarrassed.
"Not the moats." Edward smirked as Emmett and I chuckled.
"This is the one place where we don't have to hide." Emmett said as we walked up the stairs.
"We told them not to do this." Edward warned as they walked us into the kitchen.
"Skylar, Bella, we're making Italiano for you." Esme smiled.
"This is Esme, our mother for all intents and purposes." Emmett informed.
"¿Buongiorno?" (Good morning?) Bella greeted.
"Molto Bene." (Very well) Esme nodded kindly.
"You girls have given us an excuse to use the kitchen for the first time." Carlisle smiled.
"I hope you're hungry." Esme smiled.
"Assolutamente, e ti garantisco che ha un sapore buono come sembra." (Absolutely, and I guarantee it tastes as good as it looks) "I smiled.
"Awe, grazie caro. Sei troppo gentile." (Awe, thank you dear. Your too kind) Esme smiled.
"She already ate." Edward frowned.
This cause Rose to break the glass salad bowl between her hard grip.
"Prefect." Rose glared. And if looks could kill, Bella would be 6 feet under.
"Yeah, it's just because...... I know th-th..... I know you guys don't eat so....." Bella stuttered.
"Of course." Esme smiled then turned and gave Rose a look. "It's very considerate of you."
"Just ignore Rosalie. I do." Edward shrugged causing me to roll my eyes.
"Yeah! Let's just keep pretending like this isn't dangerous for all of us! Especially Skylar!" Rosalie snapped as Connor put his hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her down.
"I would never tell anybody...... anything. Especially Skylar." Bella said trying to assure her.
"She knows that." Carlisle sighed.
"Yeah, well the problem is, you and Edward have gone public now, so......"
"Connor." Esme frowned giving him a look.
"No, she should know." Rosalie frowned. "Skylar and the entire family will be implicated if this ends badly!"
"Badly..... As in...... I-I would become the meal." Bella nodded.
This caused the guys to lightly chuckled then it became a little awkward until Alice and Jasper walked in.
"Hi, Bella. I'm Alice." Alice smiled, shocking Bella as she gave her a hug.
"Oh, you do smell good." Alice said stepping by Jasper's side.
"Alice, what are you......."
"It's okay. Bella and I are gonna be great friends." Alice cut Edward off with the brightest smile.
Bella looked a little in easy against Jasper's gaise.
"Sorry. Jasper's our newest vegetarian. It's a little difficult for him." Carlisle apologized.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Jasper sent her a nod.
"It's okay, Jasper. You won't hurt her." Alice assured.
"No offense guys, but I doubt that's why it's hard for him. He's an empath. He most likely isn't just trying to control his blood lust, but all seven of your guys'." I spoke up as all the vamps nodded.
"All right, I'm gonna take you on a tour of the rest of the house." Edward said leading Bella away.
"Well I'll see you soon." Alice called after her.
"Okay." Bella said awkwardly.
"Cute!" Alice gushed as they left.
"I know." Esme agreed then turned to Rosalie. "Clean this up. Now."
"Oh, it's okay. I got it." I smiled.
"Let the object of objection become but a dream, as i cause the seen to be unseen." I said as the glass and food was fixed and set itself on the island.
"Wow." Carlisle and Esme said amazed.
"So are you gonna be joining us and the family for a game of baseball?!" Alice asked excitedly.
"Umm......."
"Thanks a lot, Alice. I didn't have the chance to ask yet." Emmett frowned annoyed, then looked down at me with a small smile. "Will you?"
"Sure." I chuckled with a small smirk.
"I call Sky on my team!" Rose stated.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Emmett frowned. "She's my girlfriend, therefore she's on my team." Emmett frowned causing all of us to chuckle at him.
"As one of my good friends always says 'us girls have to stick together.' Sorry, Em." I smirked.
"Awe, come on!" Emmett pouted.
"Don't worry son, there's always next time." Carlisle said like he was talking to a little boy.
Emmett just walked into the living room and sat, playing his x-box with a pout on his face.
I walked after him and sat next to him, giving him a kiss on his cheek.
"Have another controller for one more?" I asked.
"Always, for you." Emmett smiled giving me peck on the lips before handing me another controller.
We spent the rest of the afternoon cuddling and playing video games, and Connor joined at one point. Both boys whining and complaining that I 'cheat' everytime I beat they're sorry buts.
Eventually he and Edward took Bella and I back home before Charlie got home, so we could get ready for the baseball game.
